I agree with Jamal to point out facts, it's truth, not condemning her, she buys the fancy jets and the mansions, and preaches that silky tongue message with her own will

People who follow her are innocent, bible believers, ignorance is bliss in a sense, they know, no better, but their hearts are pure.

why Jesus said to be careful and watch what you listen to, you can't take anyone at face value, but by the works of the spirit.

Truth isn't just going to hit you in the head...lol. Seek and ye shall find

Think of the church like the human body, with an immune system. Pointing out false teaches is like an immune system response to an invading virus. But, you don't appreciate that because you see the fever caused by the immune system and you're blind to the damage done by the virus. But, if the immune system didn't work, then you'd see the damage done by the virus.

Ever read the Bible? A lot of the New Testament devoted to denouncing false teachers and especially their teachings. Read even just five words of Jesus talking to the pharisees. Most of the extra-biblical early church documents are about fighting invading viruses.

Joyce Meyers is false teacher, and I'll tell people that so they don't follow her to Hell. No
Christ was God, you do not have the same ability to discern that God has. You are only to learn of God and report what God says. You are also not to judge men, even in our instructions on how to pray we are told that.

We have many on CC who are reporting scripture through a filter they have of error. If we point out that error in their report we are working against false prophets. Usually, we can know who is in error because their reports usually includes judgments of other people rather than talking of scripture. They don't say this report is in error, but "you" are in error. By that we can know they are not of God.

Christ was God, you do not have to same ability to discern that God has, so lay off me. Jesus also didn't think much of hypocrisy.

I judge Joyce Meyers of being a false prophet. You judge me for practicing discernment, so what?

The gospel is actually the good news not repentance of sins. You don't repent from sin because someone told you to. You repent because of the goodness and kindness of God. And because you're a new creation. Regardless here you go...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxb8_pfFFzA

I'm done with this topic now.

I prefer to see you through a good light instead of a bad one. So, I get it, you think you're doing everyone a great service by teaching what a false teacher Joyce Meyers is. I don't agree, but I've said what I feel, you've made your choices.

Let me just implore you to discuss the Scripture points and not simply say this person is a false teacher who has lead many to Christ. I'm sure many people think you're a false teacher also. And I know people think I am.

But at the end of the day, only the Lord knows.

I apologize if you felt I was attacking you, as that wasn't my intention at all. I was simply defending Joyce since she's not here to defend herself. And I would do the same for you.

You can choose to pray over what I say or not.

Thank you Holy Spirit that you are Truth and you will guide my brother and I into all Truth, and I ask that show him and me what you meant by the world knowing who are Your disciples by the love we show one another. May we always receive and release love everywhere we go.

Bless you bro. I ain't mad atcha'.

I did not say I judge you as a person. I judge your judgment of her as a person against scripture. Not your judgments of what of scripture she may be not reporting correctly. Your judgment of me as using hypocrisy in my report of scripture is in error.

If we call someone a false teacher... we are judging them... we are labelling them. The only one who has power to label us, is the one who created us.
I agree. If we judge servants, how can we be effective in ministering at all. Jesus said this gospel will be preached to the whole world and then the end will come. Every tv pastor seems to get judged. Mabye they are rich because of their obedience. Even if they have a nice house, when are they ever there. We do not not know who they are blessing.
Not to mention the cost of air time. Could we walk by faith? For a million a month or so.

Maybe because it's easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than for the rich to enter the kingdom of God.

I will accept I am wrong about Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyer if you show me one time they preached repentance of sins. After all that's the gospel right?
I doubt that this will matter very much, but here's a couple of quotes and articles where they preach repentance of sins.

  • An article written by Joyce:

Do you serve God or your feelings?
Now, that may sound like an odd question for a believer, but really, it isn't. Let me put it this way... When you ask God to forgive you, do you accept His forgiveness right away or do you waste time feeling guilty?

So many Christians struggle with guilt and condemnation. They're trying to pay God back for what they did wrong when Jesus already made it right.

God's unconditional love is a very difficult concept for people to accept because, in the world, there's always payment for everything we receive. It's just how things work here. But God is not like people! Aren't you glad about that? We need to learn that whether or not we feel forgiven, we're forgiven.

Feelings of guilt and condemnation are a huge problem in the Church, but I want you to understand that’s what they are—feelings. If you really know God's Word, no matter how you feel, you can speak scriptures over your life and pretty soon your feelings have lost their authority.

For instance, 1 John 1:9 says that if we repent and confess our sins, God is faithful to forgive us. You need to take hold of that.

The next time you ask God to forgive you and then feel guilty afterward, open your mouth and say, "God forgave me." Quote 1 John 1:9 or use another scripture but say it out loud. There is power in the tongue!

Praying and declaring Scripture out loud not only helps to renew your mind, it helps you stand firm, and it certainly puts the devil in his place.

How to Embrace God’s Forgiveness

  • Another article written by Joyce:

Complaining is a negative attitude that keeps us from being thankful for all God has done, is doing and will do. It is a sin we need to repent of, and then be determined to thank God in all things, at all times. His grace and blessings always outweigh the things we think are wrong in our life.

https://www.joycemeyer.org/articles/ea.aspx?article=three_mindsets_shortcuit_faith

  • Article written by Joel:

Today's Scripture:
"Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered." (Psalm 32:1, NIV)

The Bible is filled with keys to obtaining God’s promise of blessing. In Psalm 32, it says that you are blessed when your transgressions, or sins, are forgiven. See, God extends forgiveness to everyone, but we have to do our part to receive the forgiveness. We have to repent, or change our ways, with open hearts. The Bible also tells us that if we don’t forgive others, we cannot be forgiven.

This Scripture isn't talking about that. It is easier for a camel to fit through the eye of the needle than for ANYONE to be saved. You see this by the disciples response.... WELL THEN WHO CAN BE SAVED?

It was seen in the OT as the favor of God on rich. Has this changed? That's up for debate. However, this Scripture is saying, yes my disciples even the rich aren't saved.

And Jesus' response? With man it is IMPOSSIBLE... But with God all things are possible.

God made the way for man to be saved, not wealth.

Continue reading, it says don't judge as a hypocrite. Don't be guilty of the same thing you are judging others for, hence removing the plank to see clearly to remove the speck.

[h=1] 2 Timothy 4 King James Version (KJV)
[/h]4 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
If you have an issue with her and her preaching, write her an email or send her a letter.... its easy for us to talk behind closed doors but it makes no difference in our lives or her congregations lives if we just sit and critique her work all the way here in this forum..... she isn't here to defend herself or her work so why talk about it behind her back....

Rich men are arrogant and prideful, not all a lot though, why would they ever drop everything and follow what God wants ? They think "they have it all". That's why it's easier for a camel, rich mans pride is bigger.

I just answered because it's wrong in the first place.
1 Timothy 2:12

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

When it comes to teaching and authority, there's just to many scriptures that go against it.

As for Joyce herself, I never could really listen to her, especially after seeing this, if I listen to anyone main stream, it's Bishop T.D. Jakes,

I don't really look at people like Joyce Meyers or Joel Osteen as preacher's per se, or even teachers. They're more like motivational speakers. Their objective is to make people feel good about themselves. It keeps the crowd coming back and it pays well. Meyers appeals to women because she relates with them on a personal level and injects some common sense. But as with Osteen, the bible is more-less an after-thought. Their message is centered on the people they're speaking to, and its usually about inpowering yourself via positive affirmation. jmo
