I’m currently without any work, my car is broken down, my room is all of a sudden a mess, I don’t remember the last time i took a shower (maybe two days ago), I have no self motivation to get my life back on track. I have plenty of food, a roof over my head and clothes in my closet just like God promises. I have a mother who absolutely loves me, who would do anything for me. I just wonder what is next for me. After composing 52 songs this year and losing a ton of friends, most likely because of my own decisions. It’s kinda hard to not feel hopeless or in despair. I wish things would just work out for once but I’m incapable of making anything work. It use to be so much easier when I was younger. I can’t tell if I’m a prisoner of my own mind or this phone or my devices. Seems like I can’t put it down and enjoy nature. Like I just want to die like this.

I just ask for some prayers for God to get my life going again, if ever.

You have made so many positive changes! That's a huge achievement and blessing. You are wonderful. We had a communication breakdown. Technology struck. I think I need to change cell phone companies, or something.

I think you you need to pledge the protection of the blood of Christ over your mind. Listen to worship song. But do sllso try to go to s po hysical worship and ask for prater and share fellowship.
And for me ut helps id i just get out for s walk in nature.. God gives us a new fresh start every day. But do also ask him where to you want to lead me today?

Exercise outdoors usually helps me when I'm in a rut. You feel rejuvenated and your mind becomes clear. You got this man it will get better. Choose to act

God bless you too Westward. Sometimes it’s hard to self motivate during despair but there are a lot of great people here who seem supportive

When I left Maine in 2014 my late second wife had just died after years of declining health.

My car had broken down too, lost everything that I had owned, even my two dogs. A few days after she died I resigned my position in the company that I had worked for. The day after her funeral service I left Maine for Florida to be with my family. The only stuff that I had left was a few clothes in a duffle bag. Got on the bus to Orlando. Broke, no car, no job, basically homeless. Severely depressed.

A month after that I joined Christian Chat. A month after that I met my future wife, JesusLives, who is a member of this site. She is a spiritual woman and even though I was a broken man, and seemingly dysfunctional, she saw potential in me.

Today, we own in a nice home in Tennessee, have a nice car, food in the fridge and the bills are always paid on time.

I am 69 years old, and semi-retired, work 4 days a week at the local McDonald's to supplement our finances. No dogs but we do have two cats. We are going to celebrate our 10th anniversary next month.

By the grace of God my life in now back on track. We make it a point to pray together each day, and read our bible.

I can relate to a lot of your opening post in this thread for I have been there, done that, bought the T-shirt. I don't look back on the past as that is best left behind. I pray each day to keep moving forward in a positive direction.

You have hit rock bottom. By the grace of God He will pull you out of the hole that you reside, brake the chain of depression and fear that is keeping you down, and free you from the prison of your mind. You have to want this for yourself though, but keep in mind that the Lord will neither leave you nor forsake you.

You are traveling on rough water but you never know what is going to be around the next bend in the river. It just might be in a place that you need to be.

Never underestimate the power of prayer. With God all things are possible.

I will certainly pray for you and have confidence that you will make it through these rough times.

May God give you the strength to change the things that you can, the courage to accept the things that you can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I will pray for God to lift you up to where you belong.

I can relate. I feel somewhat of the same right now. I don't know hat to do and everything is a mess.
have you listened to 'I miss the days' ?
I really like listening to NF when i feel down.
and :) the reason I can say this is because I was just talked through it and am feeling less depressed now. just still cluttered.

There is still some clutter in my life too that I will need the help of God to remove. Keep the faith, brother.

If you are unemployed presently, get outside as @Westward advised it will make a huge difference and then spend some time doing volunteer work it will hopefully shift your perspective.

If you fall into the dopamine pit which our society pushes constantly it is very hard to feel well and be emotionally well balanced.

I have had a lot of positive changes. I was just talking to my therapist and even she said I have had a lot of great improvements lately, especially coming from where I was a year ago. Slowly but surely.

This does my heart good to hear. I'm relieved that you talked to your therapist today! I was worried about the lack of sleep (sorry!).

These things can take time, but importantly you are moving in the right direction. You are amazing, and you deserve all of smashingness and a life without darkness <3
