Hey, my name is "Art" for now. Im looking for a church to attend i recently got saved. Ive been praying about it and if you could take a minute outta your day to pray id really appreciate it and might even leave you in my will. lol
2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
2Ti 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
2Ti 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
Even in the best Churches there can be a few rascals running around, but God said if they straighten up they can be a vessel of honor, and despite that some will do wrong,it is still a great house, but of course that is they abide in the truth with a few rascals, and not abide in the truth with a lot of rascals, but there probably is not a Church that does not have some that are being a little hypocritical, and the Church should always be friendly to people, and no respecter of persons.
Must claim Jesus as Lord and Savior, and believe in one God,and being led of the Spirit, and love of people is the fulfilling of the law.
Act 17:10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2Ti 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
1Jn 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Jas 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
And whatever the preacher tells you to make sure you know it is true by comparing it to the word of God,which some people trust the preacher so much that they think he cannot be wrong in his interpretation, but God does not give the preacher any more information that a common pew sitter, but gives to all people equally to know His word,so he can be wrong like everybody else if he is wrong.
It can be trial and error to find a Church that is the most compatible with the Bible at first until you learn the Bible better, but the best thing to do is read the Bible, for it is the best chance not be in error concerning the word of God.
