keep getting stuck

for the last year my name keeps getting stuck in a room, and it stays stuck for many days even after telling a mod.
wonder if some thing is wrong on my end or is it the sites end. i was told i can not use 2 names when my name is stuck, so what is a person to do?

It isn't just you. It does happen from time to time, though I'm not sure what causes it. Typically, if you log out, clear your browser's cookies, close the browser (ends your session), and then head back to the site, there's a chance you'll be out of the chat room.

Unfortunately if that does not work, then a moderator or administrator will have to clear it up for you. Sad day playing the waiting game when that happens. :(

Which web browser are you using, klg61?
 
i use either chrome or firefox. also i get a box when i sign in to the site, says i have used 2 out of 5 log ins. an admin. may have requested you to register...i hope i have done nothing wrong here, if so i would like to know....
 
well looks like it worked, i cleared history etc. and am no longer stuck. thanks brother for the help, greatly appreciate it

For SOME people, Chrome, Firefox, and/ or IE do not work well on here..Something to do with the adobe flash plug-in crashing. I use Opera and have no problems at all on here. :) From time to time, this site goes wonky, and I have to do multiple sign-ins. I think it's a glitch in the system. We usually just blame it on the minkey.. Not sure what a minkey is, but that's who we blame..lol :) Also, ppl's names get stuck when they enter/leave a room too fast.
 
It's a glitch in the chats. Sometimes it fixes itself. But other times it requires waiting for Robo to reboot the servers. He has a set schedule he does this on and will not do it just to fix this issue for someone. Mods can try to 'boot' you from the room, but, from what i understand, more often than not it doesn't fix the problem.
It's not a browser issue, it's on the server side.
Typically if it happens they make you wait. But i know under some conditions they allow people to make a temporary new account until their name clears. I'm not sure what exactly the parameters are that they allow this under.
 
i was a dedicated firefox user for 8 years, last year firefox went bonkers on my computer like never before. thats when i switched to chrome. i am an old guy who, when i get so used to some thing changes drive me crazy..lol...thanks for all the input, you all are wonderfull people..

Uh huh! Opera uses the exact same rendering engine as Chrome (they made the switch in 2013). Flash is fickle across the board because Adobe is, well...Adobe. :p
 
As Ugly said, User nics getting stuck in chat is a glitch in the site programming. When your nic is stuck in a room you will not be able to access that one room until the server is re-set. You should still be able to access all the other rooms.
