I imagine many who have died for the King James in the past, believed it was the perfect Word of God. For why would you die for something that was flawed, or imperfect? That doesn't make sense. You believe all of God's Word or you don't believe it. It's an all or nothing deal.

I don't think we have all of God word here on earth... Jesus says things in Luke 2 that are not preserved here on earth... God's word is settled in heaven, though, ps119... can I get an amen?

there's the one word error in the kjv we've talked about...it need not make you lose faith in the truth,though... God's spirit guides us into all truth, john 16... and Rom 8 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God...

human language is confounded... you may think you're understanding another person, but it's only partial, not perfect... gen 11 that they may not understand one another's speech... so, have absolute faith in how God's spirit works... the comforter! John 14

would I die for a human copied Greek manuscript? no... but I would happily die for the all truth that God's spirit guides to... John 16

say, Jason, I just got a chance to look up the refs at the beginning of this post on a pc... it looks like the word used is Pure... which has a lot of overlap with Perfect, also some differences... so, I think I want to change what I've said about God's word being perfect to it being pure...
still settled in heaven, though!

Colossians 3 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; ... the word can dwell in you... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, john1... the word can dwell among us, it can dwell in us...

there's enough non biblical texts from similar periods that people with strong language ability can learn to easily read biblical texts... there's folks that know more about Greek grammar than I know about English... can they understand it perfectly? I don't think so, God confounded human language, limiting human understanding, gen 11...

by the same approach, when Luke says that in Isaiah it was written The spirit of the lord is upon me, then Isaiah is supposed to be written that way... there's an extra word in Isaiah...

Hi. Just like all goverments that are in the world are ordained by God. So is the same with different versions of the bible. For reasons we cannot understand yet.

There is one verse in the King James bible that basically says, even though we preach the news of Christ (and do it terribly wrong) it still pleases God.

I think its 1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

So no you shouldn't burn them. Just leave them where you found them and say, Gods will, will be done.

It doesnt matter how many different versions of the bible there are or how they contradict each other.

All that matters is that you believe the message of Christ risen from the dead.

And in the last day, He will raise us up to be with Him in the clouds.

Get ready for a big voice that says "COME UP HITHER!" and in the twinkling of an eye it shall be.

Even the trees will clap.
 
most who post the KJV only bibles, don't actually believe the Holy Spirit does any work, but the words written in their KJV
