Rod notices that he didn't get invited to the above party. He runs home, puts on a hat and a fake mustache, sneaks into the party, but adds nothing relevant to the conversation. He then sneaks back out, removes hat and fake mustache, and wins the thread!

That's nice, except you got the end wrong.
