I tried to make this into a poll but forgot how.

I just wondered if left, is life harder for you? I have a lot of leftie friends, and it's interesting, they usually don't elbow me if I stand/sit to their left. I should be ambidextrous really since I'm a middle child..
Also now that everything has gone digital, I think our right and left hands are doing more together than when we handwrote using the dominant hand.

What side do you prefer to sleep in bed. I tend to sleep on my right side (in a single bed) but in a double I'd be on the right maybe. I've learned that sleeping on your left helps your circulation and brain more. I dunno. I'm sure I read in the Bible there is something about sleeping positions.

There were certain mentions in the Old Testament. Occasionally, after a name was mentioned, it state that this was a left-handed man.

I am right-handed. My daughter is left-handed. I tend to sleep on my right side too. Guess that's the way that I'm wired.

I never created a poll and wouldn't know how. I just go with the basic threads that I have created.

I think the Tribe of Benjamin was left handed. 🤔
Really?
Huh, can anyone give the scripture references for this left-handedness. I am too tired to google.
There was something odd about the tribe of Benjamin. I recall Benjamin was Rachel's son. The favourite, youngest, and the one who never knew his mother as she died giving birth to him.

This event....https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Judges-Chapter-19/
...led to chapter 20 .
There was such a horrific crime committed by the men of Giboah that all the tribes except for Benjamin decided to destroy the criminals. Benjamin took sides to defend those of Giboah, which led to a slaughter on both sides. The Benjamites Gibiah had warriors who were highly skilled at using slings left-handed.

13Now therefore deliver us the men, the children of Belial, which are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But the children of Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel: 14But the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together out of the cities unto Gibeah, to go out to battle against the children of Israel. 15And the children of Benjamin were numbered at that time out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that drew sword, beside the inhabitants of Gibeah, which were numbered seven hundred chosen men. 16Among all this people there were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could sling stones at an hair breadth, and not miss.

Wot? The tribe of Benjamin defended the crims? And didn't listen to their brothers?

What was the horrific crime of the men of Gibeoh??

My previous chapter didn't not link.

It's a long sorded story.
It's basically a replay of Genesis 19 way back in the time of Abraham and Lot. The violent perverts stormed the house, except this time there were no angels to save a concubine, wife of a man, when they found a place to stay on the way back home. I will make sure the link to chapter 19 works this time instead of pasting the whole thing here.

Judges 20..
It's entirely possible that the left handed warriors from the tribe of Benjamin might have been the special forces of their day. They put a good whipping on Israel to begin with, but lost the battle at the end.

WTH?
I forgot this story, I read it before, but?!
So, the perverts wanted the men, but the husband gave them his concubine instead? The life of a woman was worthless compared to the men, and she was chopped up into twelve pieces?!
What sadism is this.

Its not ok to sodomise the guys, so the concubine who had no choice was sodomised instead and took it for everyone. Cos she played the whore right? But why was she playing the whore? The concubine was not the first wife, she was the mistress.

Lot offered up his daughters but the angels rescued them and then they slept with their drunk dad right?

What has this to do with being left-handed?
Is this a valid question or a stupid question cos I don't know.
Why was this town like a gay town or something. Because there was no place to stay? Did they think any place to stay was like a brothel or something and that was payment to spend the night. I dunno.

The commentary on this passage on the website doesn't really explain much - and I don't get what was wrong with the tribe of Benjamites that they couldn't see that the Gibeah men were wrong. Was it all because Benjamin had no mum growing up so didn't know anything but only what his bros told him, plus WHAT HAPPENED TO DINAH? Nobody answers THIS question. Who's daughter was she - Leah's? And why does nobody ever mention or talk about her cos all the attention is paid to the twelve brothers. She NEVER gets any blessing for being a mere girl/sister.

That's correct. I wrote that from memory at first from previous readings. Then I went back and reread the chapter to check and verses 15-16 did not specify if any of the city of Gibeah were among them. This city was one of the many in the Tribe of Benjamin's territory.

The Judge Ehud was an earlier hero who liberated his people, another lefty.

They certainly were.

It's a messed up story, which gives credibility to the Authorship being God the Holy Spirit. He tells it like it is, the good, the bad and the ugly.
Books by human authors normally have a hero, villain and often a love story.
This is different.
In order to understand Judges, I look at some chapters and say, There's no real good guys/girls.
It's a record here in 19:1, "And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, ...."

When Israel/Judah has good leadership which does right in the eyes of the Lord, the nation follows God in large part. When the king, etc does evil in the sight of the Lord, the nation is saturated with devil worship and all manner of wickedness. This is a time when they had no judge enforcing God's commands, forbidding sodomy and other abominations.

I agree, the Genesis 19 and Judges 19 examples are there for examples of societal depravity which leads to Hell.

Jude 7
"7Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."

This story in the Bible actually sounds eerily like what happened to one of my friends.

And she was left-handed.

I will. explain later. All I can say is, she never stood a chance.

And now I think about it happens to a lot of women in my country. And probably everywhere else, but what do I know, I should just *worry about my own country*

Just had a scripture pop into my head (thanks God) about Jesus saying the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing,- or is it vice versa?

I need a reference for that.

I've never been able to answer some of those questions, but perhaps the Lord will answer with study and prayer.

I forgot that you were from New Zealand. Sorry to hear about the crime. In the United states there's a lot more crime than anyone knows. There have been numerous attempts on my life since I was a little boy when a (probably demon possessed) sodomite threw me over a hill head first into a steel gas meter . I was just walking home and just arrived at my yard. His name was Russell C. He and his queer nephew were walking in my direction. Out of the blue, he lunged at me with no apparent reason. .
Just like the tranny school shooters shooting random kids, he nearly killed me.

They are well known for the violence they inflict upon children and the helpless. Every one of the infamous mass murderers were sodomites too.

I was asked to preach at a church and I warned them about keeping the children's ministry safe. There was a book by Johnny Nixon that I found about that....

The security system reset this post and deleted half of it.
I had more to say, but give up. I need to go for now.

How many of us are left handed?

Left handed
Right handed
Ambidextrous
i'm ambidextrous. not naturally though. when i was 15 years old, this 1 day i was practicing the drums, i felt very awkward playing the ride cymbal, hi hat cymbals & crash cymbals with my right hand. i experienced a mini fit. i said to myself: "that's it, i'm going to learn to play left handed". & i did. then that passed onto everything else., actually, i ended up doing some things better left handed!
