Hey Everyone,
It's that time of year again!!! Time to not only bring back the "Let's have a Very Controversial Conversation" thread series, but this time we're making it seasonal! Pumpkin spice season, that is...
Now I know there are all kinds of controversial conversations to be had around this time of year ("Halloween is Pagan!" "Holidays Are All About Materialism!" "Don't Drag a Tree Into Your House Just to Worship It!",) but may I boldly suggest that we ease our way into all this mayhem by starting out with something smaller -- something a little more manageable?
And so, let's have a very controversial conversation asking people: Where do YOU stand when it comes to Pumpkin Spice?!
I have to admit that I love this time of year. I love seeing how many food products, home decor, doo-dads and thing-a-ma-jiggers they can slap over with leaves, pumpkins, and fall colors in order to sell all the same items, but with an autumn twist. And I'm always amused to how many things they can give some kind of pumpkin spice twist to, whether it be coffee, tea, candy, cereal, crackers, pop-tarts, pasta...
I wouldn't be surprised to see Pumpkin-Spice-Flavored Pumpkin Spice on my next grocery trip (I'm pretty much expecting it.)
Which brings forth all kinds of funny memes such as these:
(Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if this one is a real product -- I just haven't found it in my area yet.)

And so... Which side of the Pumpkin Spice Spectrum do YOU fall on?
* Do you love pumpkin spice -- or loathe it? Why or why not?
* What are your favorite pumpkin spice-flavored products -- and what are the most ridiculous ones you've seen?
* Is pumpkin spice only for this time of year -- or something you would have year-round? Is pumpkin spice something you're willing to pay extra for, or do you make it at home? (What kinds of homemade goodies do you make?)
* What flavors do you prefer instead of pumpkin spice (eggnog, peppermint, etc.)?
Whether you'd rather be visiting anything BUT a pumpkin patch -- or would love to be standing right in the middle of one -- we'd love to hear what YOU think about pumpkin spice.
Add your own brand of "spice" to this highly controversial conversation, and sprinkle in a few thoughts to share!
