I have had a hard life and it has turned out poorly. I don't know why I shouldn't hate God. I am just posting this so I can vent somewhere. I will not respond to any comments so any self-righteous criticism will not be noticed.

Hello Caduceus. I am sorry you are feeling so down. Has your glaucoma been looked after?
Last week I was feeling badly and a bit discouraged.
Nobody but the Lord knew what I was going through. Before bed I was starting to get upset with Him. Then I came to my senses and was grateful for His grace.
The next day He dealt with the specific issue even though I don't remember asking Him for help. No coincidence, just Him doing the impossible. Since then, I read Job chapter 1&2 again.
You are going through something none of us know about and nobody will judge you. The Lord knows the feeling of our infirmaties.
Read those chapters and take special note of Job 1:22 and 2:10 KJV.
It puts our challenges in more perspective, especially when thinking on what Jesus went through, infinity worse than us.
May he heal you quickly friend.

LIFE SUCKS! Yes it does at times. But feeling sorry for yourself does not help. I recently had cancer. Yes, it sucks! But God is still on the Throne. By the Grace of God, one picks oneself up and presses on. As the writer to the Hebrews wrote, "Looking unto Jesus", not at your self and your problems.
As long as you refuse to face the truth, nothing will change for you. It may even get worse.
You should not hate God because He is not the cause of your problems. He is the answer. Getting mad at the only One who can turn your life around makes no sense. And it won't help you at all.
God sent Jesus to die in your place. You do not deserve God's love, mercy or grace, but God offers them to you anyway. Two thieves were crucified alongside Jesus. One cursed God and died lost. The other recognised that Jesus was innocent and asked for mercy. He was saved. I doubt that your life is as bad as that thief's turned out. God will save you, but you need to have a change of attitude.
