So there has been a war against petroleum and its use.

BUT

We thought it was on personal use vehicles....
BUT
Its not....
Tractor trailer drivers are usually a bunch of small businesses. The ones visiting farms to pick up grain or chickens or whatever to bring to the processing houses.

New EPA Cafe standards are going into effect....and it's basically going to require electric trucks.

A new long hail regular tractor for a rig is around $160k.
An electric rig is $480k

Electric trucks haul 8,000 lbs of batteries (4 tons) Meaning they have to not haul 8,000 lbs of grain. Meaning another truck. (16 tons per truckload)

Then the new electric trucks require 10 hours of charging for 300 miles....diesel trucks can go 1400 miles to a filling. (They have required breaks too unless team operated)

Meaning grocery stores are going empty again....nobody is going to have anything anywhere in stock. Amazon is really in trouble....so is UPS.

Over 70% of all products on every store shelves are moved by tractor trailer loads which the trucks are owned by small businesses.

It's going to be a nightmare next year and the bill that could have stopped it was vetoed.

So guess what?
Not going to happen. The tech for new engines is brand new....we know how this is going to work out.

Engineering is complex but every engineer will tell you that over Engineering is asking for trouble later.

Keep things simple....

Gonna be very very rough when you can't get parts for older trucks.

Joseph's kitchen, can feed a person for a year for $1,000. We are entering a time where there will not be enough so having enough to cover half of your needs + growing some food will make a big difference.

Salvation is in the name of Jesus, but for those who have not given themselves fully to the Lord it would be best to have that extra year to turn your life over fully to the Lord Jesus.

He has given very clear warnings of the coming famine ever since 2020 when Dana Coverstone began getting his dreams. People have had 3 years to prepare.

If this is a phasing process spanning decades, it's not as big of a hit... though I'm not arguing for or against these standards.

New IRS guidelines tied to 2022’s Inflation Reduction Act would give carriers up to $40,000 in tax credits for non-diesel or -gasoline commercial vehicles. The Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit is divided between vehicles under 14,000 lb. GVWR (which qualify for up to $7,500 in tax credits) and larger zero-emission vehicles (which can get up to $40,000). According to the IRS, there is no limit on how many credits fleets can claim.

“So, on the one hand, you've got a $40,000 subsidy to purchase electric vehicles. On the other hand, you've got a $42,000 penalty for purchasing a diesel vehicle,” Schweitzer said. “It's pretty clear that the administration is trying to force the market to electrification. This is just one of many, many examples of how this is working right now.”

This act reduces inflation. As you can see if you buy the much more expensive electric trucks, shipping anything will become much more expensive. However the $40,000 they give you as an incentive will "reduce" that inflation.

The funny thing is, and when you see this you will just have to laugh, they have a $42,000 penalty on buying a diesel, but even with that the diesel is far more cost effective. So this is simply a way to make truckers pay more in taxes!

New trucks that are all electric are allowed everywhere.

There's new emissions standards that make the new trucks extremely problematic. Nobody will buy them but new standards are never removed or eased...only more strict standards ever come forward. ALL DIESEL ENGINES ARE VERBOTEN IN CA.

What I'm telling you is that it's a big enough leap in standards that logistics in the USA are definitely going to take a hit.

Passenger vehicles only account for 25% of petroleum used....commercial use is much higher. Shipping consumes the lion's share....it's the most efficient but still consumes the most.

I suspect that trucking in California will only truck the containers to the state border where they will be picked up by diesel trucks.

Long distance trucking requires new tractors used every year....from farming to logging and even hauling hot tubs....all require trucks.

The paper industry loves corrugated boxes....they use the required post consumer content in the boxes but new pulp is always needed too. Grocery stores always have a box crusher...because they get paid for the cardboard.

As these trucks burn hundreds of thousands of miles every year they need replacement. Lots of repairs as well....
32,000lbs of load on a big heavy truck....metal fatigue and vibration doing most of the damages.
