Lonely

Loneliness or solitude? Loneliness implies an unmet need for company, the presence of others
in a meaningful way.

One can be lonely in a crowd, with friends, in a marriage.

Jesus was strange. He knew His disciples did not know Him properly or His intentions, though
over time truly loved Him. He knew they would abandon Him in His hour of need before taking
on the torture and trials before the cross and up to his death, yet he was not lonely.
He knew the Father loved Him, and the whole purpose was to bring love into the hearts of
His people, so love drove and inspired Him forward.

So loneliness is associated with sin and isolation, the opposite of who God is.

In the whole of scripture, where has God expressed loneliness?
People have all the time, and God has met them and comforted them.

God has never been lonely but delights in love and sharing, so let us share His love
and spend time growing in His presence.

For reasons way beyond our scope of understanding., God loves us all. God wants us to go to Him exclusively and regularly.
Why our Creator, the Godhead in all His completeness, holiness, goodness, greatness and sovereignty wants our love and worship and dependence on Him is certainly a mystery of His amazing grace.
