You think that God is only holy on one day a week ?
The sabbath's presage of daily holiness in Christ has been fulfilled.
I will still include the teachings of Jesus and Paul's letter to the Romans.
10 Commandments shown in the New Testament:
1) Thou shalt have no other gods before me:
Acts 14:11-15 - Living and true God
I Cor 8:4-6 - Idol nothing; One God
2) Thou shalt not make (or worship) grave images:
I Cor 10:14 - Flee from idolatry
Acts 17:29 - Ought not to think God is like gold, silver, etc.
I John 5:21 - Keep yourselves from idols
3) Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain:
James 5:12 - Swear not

What is moral about the Sabbath? I am not of the house of Israel, by the way. Romans 14, Acts 15, much of Galatians and some of Colossians all destroy your reasoning.
The difference between the old and new is stark. The old requires outward obedience to a set of rules that no one but Jesus ever obeyed perfectly. Not even you. The new covenant is the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. The Law of the Spirit of life sets us free from the Law of sin and death. I live according to the law of the Spirit. Never once in 54 years has God required me to attend church on a Saturday or keep the Sabbath rules and regulations.
You can't have it both ways. Either you live under the law or you live by the Spirit. They are like oil and water, they do not mix.
The Law brings death. Grace brings life. The fact that you cannot leave the Sabbath law alone demonstrates that you do not know what grace is.
well done, all who say the ten commandments do not need to be kept will have a huge surprise when they resurrect, if only they listened.
they always refuse what Jesus said "if you want to enter into life keep the commandments" (Matthew 19:17).
Jesus was clear about it. Their excuse is usually its for Jews only and they refuse also the great commission where Jesus told the disciples to teach all he did and said to ALL nations and they did. (Matthew 28:16-20, Mark:16-14-20) They have No excuse. and some don't see the distinction between the law of Moses and the ten commandments that God declared His Covenant, and had the Ark of the Covenant build to keep the 2 tables of stone with the Ten Commandments, written on it by GOD's own hand, they reject this as well because many denominations do not teach these truths written in scripture.

Call the sabbath what you will moral or not, it does not change the fact it is part of the ten commandments Jesus asked us ( his followers) to keep, this is purely a deflection. No one is forcing you to do anything you have free will.

Jesus said He came to israel FIRST but only israel? Jesus was a man, he could not be all over all at once by design he had to fulfill prophecy about him. Remember he did choose 12 disciples who followed him all over he went they lived with him for 3 years, they knew all he did and said.
Now if you read Matthew and Mark about the great commission he tells his disciples to preach ALL he did and said to ALL nations this includes all like the ten commandments, he preached during his ministry and explained the true way fo keep them that it with a heart.
The law does not bring death. It is BREAKING the law that brings death.
Living under the grace of God means we are not under the CONDEMNATION of the law. Does not mean we can continue to live a life of disobedience.
Prov 6:23 "For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:"
Prov 13:14 "The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death."
Psa 19:7 "The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple."
James 2:12 "So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty."
Rom 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
Anyone who claims they don't have to keep the law or that it is impossible to keep the law falls into this category:
Rom 8:7 "Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."
The 7th day sabbath is, of course, included in the moral law for a plain/simple reason.
It is the ONLY one of the 10 that tells us which God we worship.
Take the sabbath out of the law (or change it to another day) and you have taken the Creator out of His own law.
It will then become impossible to know which god you worship.
Certainly not the Creator of all things.

My question is, in modern today, how do you observe sabbath day?
Don't cook?
Don't operate any machinery?
Go to church?
....
Two main things:
1) According to the 4th commandment (Exo 20:8-11) it is a day to rest from our 6 day work week. Because God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th. (Remember back in bible times each new day started at sunset. So the 7th day sabbath begins Friday night the moment the sun drops below the horizon and ends Saturday at sunset, even if it hasn't gone completely dark yet.)
Lev 23:32 applies to ANY sabbath, whether a feast day of rest, a special holy day or the weekly sabbath "...from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath."
Mark 1:32 "And at even, when the sun did set..."
2) As Christians we worship God every day. This includes at rest, play, meal times, work, etc. whatever we are doing do all to the glory of God. But the 7th day sabbath (a day of rest from our weekly work) is the only time like-minded believers can congregate together in communal worship. This is where going to church comes in.
Lev 23:3 "Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings."
Psa 111:1 "Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation."
Heb 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.."
I'm looking for an explicit comment from Jesus that Gentiles needed to keep the Ten Commandments. Until Paul, all of the Apostles were Jewish men who ministered to Jewish people. Jesus commissioned Paul, and sent him to act as the Apostle to the Gentiles. Paul exhorted the children of his readers to obey their parents. He instructed the wives to help their husbands and for the husbands to love their wives. But he never instructs his readers to Keep the Weekly Sabbath.
When you say the Ten Commandments are a blessing, you're exactly right—but the blessing becomes clear only when we slow down and meditate on them. The Decalogue is God’s own expression of His moral vision, a revelation of the kind of life and society that promote human flourishing, dignity, and joy. These commands show us what a life‑affirming community looks like: one shaped by loyalty to God, truthfulness, fidelity, justice, and contentment. When we reflect on them deeply, we begin to see that the Ten Commandments are not burdens but gifts—windows into the kind of humanity God intends to form in His people.

Heb 4:1-11 Talks about God's rest.
We know it is talking about resting on the 7th day sabbath because of verses 4 and 10 "For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.... For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his."
And in verse 9 the word "rest" ("sabbatismos" in the original Greek) specifically means the 7th day sabbath.
These verses point to both the 7th day sabbath of the 4th commandment (Exo 20:8-11) AND the first sabbath day in Gen 2:1-3
We know Jesus never changed the day from verse 8 "For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day."
This leave verse 11 "Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."
An explicit command from Paul to "labour" to enter into this rest. The word "spoudazō" means to "endeavor with all our strength/might."
And includes a warning if we do not then we will eventually fall into unbelief. Unbelief in the Creator of all things. The one who made this world in 6 days and rested the 7th day.
No pagan god can claim creation of all things. This is what sets God (and Jesus) apart from the pagan theologies, practices, traditions.
If go by literally word by word, it will be difficult to meet requirements.
Lord have mercy.
And you need to understand Christians are under the Law of Christ being under the New Covenant rather than the law of Moses which was under the old covenant.
