it is lost by continuing in sin without remorse norvrespect to the God that is trying to get you to repent. The more it is refused, the more the heart is hardened.
So how does a person get it? If it's the Lord's I mean? How does a person lose it, either, if it's the Lord's?
I made a post days ago about my struggle and what I went through...
But I think I found out what happened. I think I lost my salvation, my walk, my relationship with God. It's such a scary process I'm going through. I seem to no longer have any conviction of sin as I did, I seem to feel so deeply empty morning after morning, night after night. My prayers are dull. I have committed immoral sins that I have had a problem with for years, and its like God just gave up on me. Now I'm trying to repent as much as I can from all sins, even the immoral ones because I'm nearly scared to death if I really lost it all. I have prayed day and night for the security of my salvation, I'm still fearful. Now you might say since I fear I didn't lost the Holy Spirit. Can that be true? Feelings can be human, but I feel like a Saul who disobeyed God to the point of losing it all, and he was fearful was he not? I truly don't know if I lost it, but even if I did, I wish I could have another chance. I use to always pray that God would keep me no matter what, because I feared this exact thing. Praying that pray for years.
What do I do? I been repenting for days, I seem so dead, yet afraid.
I was a firm believer for years. Gave my life to Christ, gave so much into it. But there was this one sin I had the most dealings with. I knew works couldn't take my salvation, but it is written that if you persist you are in danger of spiritually dying. Who hasn't had a time when they have transgressed in such a way that you feel guilty for days? Even an little persistence before repentance? Well I feel like I did quite enough to really upset God it seems. I have prayed for a reset, nothing...I have prayed for a new beginning, nothing...
Maybe I'm just going through a moment. But I have been through really hard times in my life, and they were nothing compared to this emptiness.
God didn't send his Son to brutally die for our sins on a wooden pole for nothing. I think the only reason you'd doubt God and his love and patience is probably because you've become estranged from him. It's true that God punishes sinners and he disciplines his children when they sin. But why? What is sin? God wants the best for his Creation, and I believe sin is against this. By sinning the person you're hurting is yourself. You've hurt your relationship with God and your faith. If you are God's child then he may be disciplining you. If you are no longer his child it is probably because you've wondered away from him and the Enemy has won this battle as a result. I hope he doesn't win the war.
Today we cannot lose the Holy Spirit . its impossible. Before the giving of the Holy Spirit where he would come and go from a person, like Saul for example..Today we are sealed ! by the Holy Spirit . Eph 4.30 . Eph 1.12-13 .I made a post days ago about my struggle and what I went through...

This is not helping . This compounds the issue when we teach " oh but if your really saved then ... fill in the blank "ok - the question is not - can I lose my salvation - the question is do I have salvation
Repenting, but are you forsaking?
Are you bearing fruit of repentance - going to people you hurt, and asking for forgiveness, repaying what you owe, giving back, whatever you have done
If you are saved, and you repent and forsake the things the Holy Spirit convicts you about - then He should be witnessing to your spirit that you are His
Your alive today - today is the day of Salvation, drive a stake in the ground today if you have to - As for me - i am going to follow the Lord
We are told we have eternal life, not conditional lifeSalvation is not probation.
Eternal life is not temporary life.
Jesus is the door. He is not a revolving door.
I got just under 2 minutes to hear the false Gospel YOU are preaching.Recently, a well known preacher by the name of Dr. Gene Kim preached a message condemning any of his critics who expressed their concerns about his extreme views about Once Saved Always Saved - 'OSAS' or Eternal Security.
Although some might claim they agree with the more conservative principles associated with OSAS as preached by Billy Graham and his two children (Franklin and Anne), the question should be asked - Is OSAS a Biblically-based doctrine that will actually Save people from Hell after they die? I don't believe that it does.
I encourage everyone on this forum to view my rebuttal to Dr. Kim's video to not only appreciate the diabolical claims that he makes regarding OSAS, but to see what the True Gospel is that aligns with the Apostle Paul's Gospel that he termed "My Gospel" that the Bible says Jesus will use at the Judgment"
Romans 2:16
In the day [of Judgment] when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to My Gospel.
Paul's Gospel is one that MUST be "obeyed":
Romans 10:16
But they have not all OBEYED the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
"I appreciate that some people in this chat room are fearful of losing their Salvation, however the best remedy is for everyone to look at what Paul's Gospel represents, to then be able to "Strive towards the Mark of High Calling in Christ Jesus" that brings HOPE rather than despair:
Philippians 3:13-15
"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I PRESS TOWARD THE MARK FOR THE PRIZE OF THE HIGH CALLING OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS. 15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you."
Please check out this 17 minute video to the end.
Blessings, Alan
No one today loses the Holy Spirt . We cannot lose it like the OT who a only came upon and would depart. We all fall short sometimes but we can boldly go to God and ask for forgiveness. The prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32) and King David (2 Samuel 11:2-17, 12:1-7) are some examples of people that committed sin against God, but asked for forgiveness and God welcomed them back. Everyone that is in sin is lost but we can repent and accept Jesus as our savior. The Holy Spirit is speaking to you, that is why you are asking these questions and wanting to have God back in your life. Don't give up, pray and read the Word. God Bless you.
