Swell...not by works thread 2
Meggido, you'll notice this topic is the sole existence of this forum. It astounds me because to (re)define salvation is why Jesus turned this world upside down. Although it's super frustrating like kicking a cactus in your socks, it's really all that matters that this revelation truth be known. Just my 2 cents.
Sorry, this is now a perosnal fight between 2 teams who are ripping each other to shreds all in the name of Jesus and his salvation.....everybody needs to grow up.....by all means, carry on, for tomorrow we die....
As per usual you don't know what you're talking about. You continue, incessantly to not understand the difference between descriptive and prescriptive texts. You are, frankly (albeit it perhaps in ignorance) preaching another gospel -- Galatians 1:8-10.
Basically Christ sort of saved you, but it is up to you now. Sounds like a sci-fi flick, but it definitely isn't the Gospel. You just cannot discern descriptive/prescriptive texts, and no matter how hard you try, there is no getting by the fact you are saving yourself.
Not going to argue back and forth over it with you. You can get your last word in on your works gospel and wresting Scripture. God's elect will never perish as per His word.
You say they will.
You can look at it that way, but one team has the truth. We must grow up in truth.
All I see now is the manifestation of Matt 12.33-37
I know the Matrix wellYou know me too well Magenta. Spot on!
But how do you turn away from something you were never part of?thats because they you never had it,
as john said, they departed from us (another way to say turned away from us) because they were never of us, if they were of us, they never would have departed (turned away)
I think God does assign weight to different sins, but in the end the penalty for all sins is the same.if you steel and apple your just as guilty as the murderer,
thats is what the Bible says, if you can not see that, it explains a lot.
And I think this is the true resolution to the question. You can be with us here, but if you don't persevere to the end you won't be with us there (in heaven). And if you're not with us there it's like you were never with us at all. Like being the key word.To win this race, you must endure to the end whether you are first or last. As long as you cross the finish line, you are in. You quit before you reach the finish line, well, you are up a creek without a paddle.
Yet I know from personal experience that it happens. You literally have to UN Believe. sounds hard.
Dude Its a simple question lol, i understand your passionate about your theory so ill leave it alone

And if it's not possible, why did Jesus and Peter say it's going to happen?
