Please don't tell me I'm lost please
Don't listen to him/her/it or whatever. It's sad that they can't tell the difference between the Kingdom of God that is yet to come on this earth and salvation. The Kingdom of God is the Millennium. That kingdom is what we Israelis have been looking forward to for Millennia.
Many Gentiles too will enter that kingdom if they refuse the mark of the beast and endure unto the end of the tribulation. That's the nature of that period of time that Paul had no idea when it would come. He could not have known that the dispensation of grace would last 2000+ years, and serves as a dire warning to those who will miss the rapture. That is an indication of Paul's wisdom, knowing that many who know of his gospel, but will miss the rapture, they will have to endure in order to enter that Kingdom.
Also, that reference in Revelation, that's for those who will have been left behind after the body of Christ is been removed from this earth, and THEY who will be left behind will have to endure in works of their own effort to attain salvation in the end. We today are sealed by Holy Spirit when we have come to faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ on the third day, and what that has done for us who are in Christ ensures that we will not be here to endure the tribulation period with all those who will not yet be saved at the start of the horrifical period. When you believe Paul's Gospel in 1 Cor. 15:1-4, you are sealed. Those people out there who talk about loss of salvation have not one verse at which they can point that speaks of the seal of Holy Spirit being removed, nor that the Father forfeits His own Spirit after removing what He showed to be permanent by these comparatives.
2 Corinthians 1:22 Who hath also
sealed us, and given the
earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
Sealed and given the EARNEST of His own Spirit, meaning that for the Lord to take back salvation from anyone, He would be forfeiting His own Spirit. There are all kinds of slick interpretations people will throw at others in the hopes of getting them to believe the Lord is fickle and untrustworthy, the claims of which makes salvation a matter of works. Let them try to earn and retain their salvation through their own works if they think they can. They believe NOT in the sufficiency in the Blood of Christ.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted,
after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
So now you have seen two proofs for the permanence of salvation. We also have this, which reinforces what is quoted above:
2 Timothy 2:13
If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
See that. Some believers have and will traipse off into unbelief, as did the prodigal son, but who also came back and was received because his father was faithful and unwilling to deny even himself. That is the extent of the love the Lord has for us.
Romans 8:28 And we know that
all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
That prodigal son, when he returned, he was a changed fella. He was humble rather than proud, and he returned. Those who think themselves empowered to declare loss of salvation should think more deeply about that, for if the Lord will go to extent of taking back salvation from anyone, they too should worry about their salvation right now because we ALL continue to sin on a daily basis. None of us can remember every sin and confess them all in order to ask forgiveness. When it comes down to it, we don't have to ask for forgiveness. That's a creation of religion to think that they can arbitrarily carry that requirement over to us from the Kingdom Gospel people. We are not Kingdom Gospel people. We are under the gospel of grace, which is Paul's gospel given to him by Christ Jesus.
So, our sins and our turning away (those who do that) can and will affect rewards, treasures, with all of it passing through the fire of testing to see what remains...that which we built with. All you have to do is build with precious metals and stones that will not burn in the fires of testing when we stand before Christ. When we are saved, the power of sanctification begins, and all this talk of unbelief and sin, leave that to those people who have not faith in the strength and power of the Blood of Christ, all of it being apart from works and efforts in our flesh. When they dream about salvation lost, they are dreaming of an unknown god who is not the God of the Bible but rather a creation in the minds of those lacking faith.
So the next time you hear someone claim loss of salvation, ask them to whos to you where that line is located. Draw it on a piece of paper and list sins on each side so that they can show to you what THEY think if the point of loss. Their inability to show to you that line is evidence for the fact that they know not at all what they're talking about. They fail to differentiate the difference between outright salvation and the Kingdom that is yet to come upon this earth.
