I hope you will allow me one more time posting. Okay, Ive been dealing with salvation issues, grief and the loss of my Mom, guilt over my role as a caregiver, watching all the suffering of my Mom, etc. In the midst of this is my fear that I loved my Mom more than God. The Bible says we are not worthy of God if we do this. I dont want to love anyone more than God or miss Heaven. How can I get back there. I believe at one time I felt that way but now Im sobafraid of missing Heaven if my priorities are out of line.

Do not worry. Being a friend and carer during another persons hardship is doing exactly as God wants.

You helped, never hindered.
You supported, never neglected.
You loved, never hated.

Forgive yourself. It is not your fault.

The Lord loves you, very much. Now please recognise this. Forgive yourself. It is not your fault. You are fine, everything will be okay. Don't fear, but rather know you are loved and protected.

God gives us those insticts to love our parents its the same way we are to love our Father in Heaven and how he loves us. "Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. " Psalms 2:12

Taking care of your mother proves that you love God more than Mom. I will pray that God alleviates your troubled mind and give to you his blessed assured hope of your salvation. You have no need to 'get back there' because you are already there. "Fear not" says the Lord.

Do you possess an underlying assumption that you believe that you loved your Mom more than God did? That He failed her? or is your lament that you believe that you failed her?

What does God's word say?
"And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us."
Romans 5:5.

Tell God that you love Him with the love He's given you to love Him with. "Love is not a feeling, it's an act of the will" (Don Fransisco)

Quit worrying about yourself. God loves you and you are accepted by God in Christ. As I've said before, believe God's word. Feelings are as changeable as the weather. God's word never changes.

You may need deliverance from the spirit of doubt and unbelief. Find a strong Christian who knows their authority in Christ. Ask God to lead you to someone who can help.

Of course we are not worthy of God.. We are Deemed worthy by believing The LORD and trusting in the way He has made for us to be Redeemed.. So yeah if you believe you have loved your mom more then the LORD then go to Him in prayer and acknowledge this and thank Him for His Atonement He secured on the cross that see's to it that you are justly forgiven this and granted eternal life in His perfect eternal existence..

Our failures to live up to the standards of God do not cause our salvation to be lost when we continue to Believe Gods teachings on those standards and thank Him for what He did to wash us of our transgressions.. Rejoice in the LORD.. Praise Him for His righteousness.. Thank him for achieving what we cannot achieve.. He is your Hero.. All praise and glory and boasting are His..

Again place your TRUST in what He did for you.. Not in your own performance in doing things.. Pray for His help in being the best version of yourself that you can be on earth in this flesh. But always know the best version we can be is as nothing compared to the righteousness of God..

(Isaiah 64:6) "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."
