we are talking about something that unless you have inside you then you will not understand it even if I explain it to you. I am talking about love not love from human perspective or a kind of love that comes from the human heart but a love not of this world a love that is far more than what we perceive as a feeling. it is this love makes one a true believer and it is this love that gives you the eyes to see through his and to love with his heart. Without a love such as this you won't ever know or see the hidden and secret treasure in his heart or of his kingdom. it has nothing to do with a sinless perfection doctrine

First, look up the word "perfect" in the Bible. Do a study on it and ask yourself if it is a teaching of the Bible.
Second, are you saying your type of love is a sin and still be saved doctrine?

Jesus' words are not in agreement with your belief. Jesus said be ye perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect. Do you believe Jesus' words here?

So it is a love that involves a sin and still be saved doctrine seeing you reject the idea that one can never be perfect. However, Jesus' words are not in agreement with your belief. Jesus said be ye perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect. Who am I going to believe? You or the Scriptures?
See that is my point Jason if you do not have it inside you then you will not understand it even if I explain it to you. The fact you think this is about your sinless and perfection doctrine proves what I said as true. This has nothing to do with that

I think folks are missing the whole point of the thread. Love your enemies. If you consider me your enemy.... you have to love me. If that is not working for someone here then they need to read 2 Corinthians 13:5.

For once he gets it. :-P

Jesus said we will know false prophets by their fruits. If a person is sinning and thinking they are saved, they are bringing forth bad fruit in the process and they are exposing themselves as frauds according to Matthew 7.

For if we do not love, we do not even know God.

We have to go by the Word of God because if that is not the case then someone can be deceived into killing themselves like many of those who followed Jim Jones.

Are you telling me not giving your problems and praying to Him about it is not working for you? How long did you pray to Him about it? Do you not know that they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength?
Seriously, dude. (And I use dude here, because some folks take offense at buddy.) Is this your calling in life? Give you're same ole-same ole shortened and private gospel no matter the topic? (Private gospel as opposed to the real one.) Because this has absolutely nothing to do with the topic! "Loving your enemies"

So, ye Ole Perfect One, how boutcha teach us all how to be sinless when it comes to an enemy? And, by enemy, I'm not going with a family member ticked us off for a moment, I'm talking the jerk who mugged you, the idiot who raped someone you loved (because the stats say one in four women have been raped, so, given even if they oversimplified the stats, by your age you know a man or a woman who has been raped), the creep who stalked you or someone you love to the point of terror, or the person who murdered someone you love. Since you, above all men, are prefect, please teach us how you dealt with that perfectly.

Sorry. I was a counselor. I know how people take left turns to avoid the question asked. Can you see the question now? No left turns, no avoiding, no zigzagging, no Christianese singsong mean-nothing (not so) clever comebacks. Teach us. Give at least one example from your life to show how it works. Vague doesn't cut it for me. I need concrete, show-mes.

Thank you. But I have always gotten that fact. Sometimes it is not pleasing when you tell people the Word of God that they do not want to hear. It may appear unloving to some (But we are commanded to tell the Word of God to people). For even Jesus quoted Scripture all the time. For man shall not live by bread alone.

There is a difference between the wisdom of this world and how it deals with problems versus say how a believer who desires to follow Jesus Christ deals with his/her problems. As for praying to God: Are you saying that such a thing does not work for believers? If you are suggesting that, then please re-read the Bible.

Um.....yeah two steps forward one step back...

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.

This is virtue love. We love because of something in us(Christ). Our personal love for God, will manifest itself through our impersonal and unconditional love for all others.

There are a lot of people who I do not like and personalities that don't match up with mine. But I can honestly look at them and have no bitterness or hate towards them. And I know that God loves them.

Honestly, it is having a relaxed mental attitude towards people, live and let live, no grudges,no resentment and respect is offered to all men through our love for Christ.

I can't help but think that Jason desired and inspirit are an unholy trinity....3 in one.

I disagree! I believe that ISIT abd Desired are mistaken in their stand on Eternal Security; but both of them have offered , IMO, valuable insights in other areas. I have seen nothing of value from Jason apart from his misapplied Scriptures, and his obvious sincerity.

Dear JFSurvivor:

Okay, I will help you out.

2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Jason I am not going to debate with you on being sinless and perfect on this thread, love isn't about being sinless and perfect and obviously you cannot understand what I am saying being you don't know this love i speak of

I am listening. I'd really like to know.

No not quite it isn't a relaxed mental attitude it's a state and condition of the heart it's whose heart resides in you it forms who become in Christ it affects what you pray for how deeply your prayers are filled with his spirit how you see not just ppl but life faith eternity.

You mean, this kind of love?

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. (1 John 2:5).

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (1 John 2:4).

Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto sincere love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently: (1 Peter 1:22).

Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, (1 Peter 4:1).
