OMG I should have kept them! I think I gave them to my cousin. They must be worth a fortune now! And they were not cheap to buy even back then, they would have been something like $7 which was not cheap for a 36 page magazine/comic
Also, they usually had some kind of cool extra attached to the front, like stickers, or decals, or a mini jigsaw puzzle.

I think I saw this magazine as a kid, but didn't have the money at the time.
I used to always have one of those plush Garfield stick-ups in my car -- the kid in me is now tempted to look on Amazon for a modern version of one.

I think not. a day went by when Princess Diana was NOT on the cover of a woman's magazine. They never had her husband, it was always just Diana. She never had to be airbrushed either, she was the real deal.
Vogue always had in the supermodel era..Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss. Linda Evangelista. Heidi Klum. Claudia Schiffer.
My favourite would have been Claudia Schiffer. I think she had a girlish beauty about her and always a lovely smile. She was never a 'fierce' Tyra Banks type model, who always kind of stared at you and pouted like she was gonna punch you. Sorry Tyra!

I had a Garfield plush in my window as soon as I found one, and replaced it every time it got too sun faded -- until I couldn't find them in stores anymore.
My friends and family often didn't pay attention to what kind of car I drove, they just knew it would have a Garfield in the window.
I've been thinking of ordering a modern one from Amazon to uphold the tradition!
I have a grey cat sticker in the window of mine and a crochet plushy in the caddy I call 'Caddy Cat'.

We didn't have Seventeen magazine in NZ we had an Australian magazine that was the equivalent called Dolly. For some strange reason it seemed to always have Rebecca Gibney on the cover...and dubious advice for teen girls.
There was also Girlfriend magazine that was a little bit racier but more popular.
I never bought any, just read my big sisters copies!

I bought my Aunt a copy of the Australian Woman's Weekly with Rachel Hunter on the cover.
The feature article was nothing much really. It was more of a puff piece catch up on what Rach is doing now. She's in her 50s, an empty nester, and is going all Eat Pray Love on us.
She divides her time between India, Los Angeles, UK, and New Zealand. Good for her. Other than that, it Seems the AWW test kitchen is really into air fryers, cos most of the recipes in it are now made in them. There has been so much promotion of air fryers like how everyone went crazy over microwaves in the 80s.

Glenfield used to be known as 'Nappy Valley'. Its like the most suburban place in suburbia on the North Shore. Lorde was also from the North Shore.
The thing with Glenfield is its hilly and windy. Glenfield College backs on to a retirement village that's recently built. I had to mow the lawns/berms beside it for a job, and it was steep slope. Its hard work mowing lawns on a slope. The villagers never went outside to the gardens, one you end up in a retirement village/rest home, you never set a foot outside and your last journey is in an ambulance.
But they had a beautiful view of the football fields of Rachel Hunter's alma mater.
