Nothing within her post clarifies that she is only referring to the authority of all the males within a person's chosen "home" congregation. Perhaps that is what she meant, if so she can clarify that herself.
I do not know if @Beckworth holds to this belief, but I do agree that if we're going to paint scripture with a broad brush we ought to give all verses the same treatment!
And I do agree with you that the assembly of believers IS the church, we think of it as a building or our denomination of choice but that's not how the Bible describes it.
I think this is what the great apostasy actually looks like - a departing from the faith - away from the beliefs set down in the Bible - to the deviating current trends nowadays. So falling away doesn't even mean leaving Christianity - it is about no longer believing what the Bible actually says.

I have not and will not argue that women have a biblical "green light" to be pastors or teachers. I merely asked another member to clarify her position and hold to it herself. I do not know why you jumped in to answer for her.

Well said!!We're all to spread the gospel whether men or women. Lots of service for God are open to both men and women.
The positions of authority within the church are for men though, not women. But women aren't any less because of that - they just have different function.
But Satan works hard to make women feel as if they're less to try to destroy the hierarchy God had set. But if you look at the Trinity of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, God the Father is the highest authority. You don't ever see Jesus or the Holy Spirit try to usurp the Father's position. Also, all the 2/3 of angels that remained with God remain in their position in the heirarchy as well.
Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the angels that remained - none of them have any problems with their position and not being the #1 in authority. Only women seem to have that problem with Satan making them feel inferior.
I personally don't have that problem. I'm pretty independent, but I can do the work I'm called to without feeling inferior about my place in the heirarchy.

That's why it means nothing to me that they are doing miracles, because they're not exactly obeying God or respecting what He says in the Bible about His order in the church.

No you are saying by pulling that verse out of context read everything he said not just one part also he was not talking about women in authority you just pulled that scripture out of context to make it say something it isn'tBut Jesus just said that He doesn't know these people and sent them away!
