Yes , I agree , the fact that u needed to ask us about this shows that u yourself r not 100 per cent convinced , otherwise why even mention it . Your conscience isn't clear or u wouldn't b asking for our opinions on this , your own mouth has betrayed u , that's ok , it happens to us all occasionally .

That's the Holy Spirit convicting him and it's working!

You see, I studied all this awhile back after hearing a sermon on how the end times and the Marriage supper of the Lamb is patterned after the ancient Jewish wedding traditions. Ketuba, Brotrothal and so forth.

And I bet you a dollar the OP hasnt even given the girls father any cattle or goats for her, lol.

Here's a short video of how it works and he talks better than I do!

You see there may be some confusion about this because it's not in scripture all in one place. Tidbits are all spread out in the scriptures so you have to jump around, and bet he wont like that, and they better say you dont need a license from the State! I didn't take notes on most of it because I was understanding what was being said as it was spoke. Sorry, Marriage is not something in my plans anymore at my age so it matters little I thought. Until now, huh?

I notice two kinds of people who get this stuff. Those who get it seem to be the people who spend more time in their bible than the 2nd type who does not spend much time in their bible and so question all these things, hoping to get approval. WHy not accept truth?.

I believe this is true. But this has nothing to do with the Lord and Him being acknowledged in your marriage. But you don't want to talk about that. No BBQ's here you said, no party, no God.

Gaslight much? I never said the Lord wasn't involved. That's you saying that in error.

God does not teach in His Word that He does not recognize marriages unless the couple gets the state's permission and fills out their legal paperwork.

So where does this say that the OLD Testament is passed away and not in effect anymore? It does not. Do you know how Covenants work? It doesn't sound like it...

You have some stuff to learn from the New Testament:

Hebrews 10:9
Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

In Jeremiah 31:31-34 God said He would make a New Covenant and so Jesus came and established the New Covenant and He is now High Priest instead of Moses.

What makes you think that no more multiplying by you is needed?

The Lord is not leading me to have kids, not that it's any of your business one way or the other.

So if you are Married and sure of this within yourself...Why DId You Start The Thread asking?

Confirmation came after this thread was started.

Several in this thread have said God does not require a couple gets the state's permission and fills out their legal paperwork in order for Him to recognize the marriage.

Maybe you should go argue with those people if you want to keep increasing your post count.

you sound like an idiot

As do you. Takes one to know one, right?

There is a spreadsheet for these things in scripture, but for some reason, you pick and choose what you are willing to believe. The Bible Brother!

OK so show my in the new testament where the Lord says "thou shalt get a marriage certificate from the county courthouse or I won't recognize your marriage"

I'll check back in later to see what you come up with. Chapter and verse please.

So you are Not Married yet!

That's your opinion you got from the old testament.

Thank you for sharing your opinions in this matter.

This is why I love trolls, they're so dang hilarious :ROFL:(y)

But for real though, assuming you haven't made the whole scenario up.... why NOT get the certificate, is it just about her potentially leaving and taking your stuff? I get why you'd worry about that but if you trust her that little you shouldn't be doing the wild thang with her. Respect your intimate parts, dude! And hers too.......

Notice how he/she responds to several people in one post, breaks down the post into sections.....like HigherGospel et. al., and same political views and rhetoric.

Maybe his Girlfriend wants to get married, but he doesn't want so so says we already are married, then comes up with something that He knows is not in scripture so we can't and he can show his GF that we can't to try to convince her.

He's being a cheapskate?

I can't argue with you anymore. You don't know the first thing about contract law or anything so you want to keep insisting that the OT law and everything in the OT is defunct now and you should only read the NT now. I already gave you the scripture where Jesus Himself (In the NT!!!) said, I come not to abolish the lw & the prophets but to fulfill it and you ignore that too. You debate like a girl my friend. I ran a business for 22 years and it was a successful contracting business so we used Contracts a lot. Many times, the contracts will have addendums to them as the job progresses and something comes up, more terms are added to the Contract. It isn't thrown in the trash can, it was added to, so "most" of the OT was fulfilled, but not all of it. Newsflash my friend, A Covenant is a fancy word for Contract. It works the same way.

Matthew 5:18
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled..../KJV

So go ahead and live in sin and believe what you want, that is your choice.

But if all you can say is show me in scripture the verse that says I get a new cell phone, forget it my friend. You aint telling the whole story and respond like a girl so I'm done with you. Whatever?

You never said that the Lord was involved either.

There's the girly debate question!

You didn't look up and read even one of the scriptures that I posted for you or else you would have said something. So you holding back...There's more to this than you let on and I believe you have begun to lie in your responses. Good luck with that man.

Could be, but Stantheman, Dallasman, and HigherGospel all had a very specific "tell" that I have not seen yet in @JayWalker , plus he's more sassy/goofy than HigherGospel who was just flat-out obnoxious. You could be right though! ✅

Maybe his Girlfriend wants to get married, but he doesn't want so so says we already are married, then comes up with something that He knows is not in scripture so we can't and he can show his GF that we can't to try to convince her.

He's being a cheapskate?

Could be.... if the story is even true then it sounds like he's wanting something hassle-free, easy-come and easy-go with no risk to him personally. He's supposed to be willing to DIE for his wife, risking some of his "stuff" should be a small matter in that case but clearly he's not comfortable with that for some reason 🤔.

You debate like a girl my friend

Was that really necessary? 🙄🙄🙄🙄

You aint telling the whole story and respond like a girl so I'm done with you. Whatever?

.......and that? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Nah.

.....and THAT???? 😑😑😑😑😑😑

Is insulting females such a natural thing to you that you do it even when you're trying to insult a male? You seriously gotta get a handle on that, man...... not a good look.

You get those alerts too?!?

Calling someone a troll is people just trying to gaslight someone who does not agree with them in their efforts to claim they are superior to anybody that does not agree with their view point.

It's what all the wackos do when you disagree with them, they haul off and call you a TROLL

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

What happened to my message to Suze? I wrote a different message to Suze. That response was to adstar in a different thread?

I'll try this again!

I never meant any slight to any girl here, I was talking to a man and we speak like that sometimes. But I wasn't talking to you, or @Snackersmom.

Sometimes I forget that there's always an exception to the rule and yes we have several on this board! My apologies ladies'!

Would you girls like for me to write a sig line as a disclaimer to real girls, in case I slip again in the future?

You should have heard how me & me friends (and brothers) talked to each other when we were young! EVery comment was an insylt, but we were friends there was no slight to us as men. Just men's locker room girls, not for you. I wasn't talking to you oh ye Exceptions to the rule! Bless you all.

I'm coming in late to this thread and I haven't read it all. Are you still looking for knowledge or are you settled on the matter?
