Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think its fair to say that most american women aim for a big beautiful house, a nice car or SUV, a wardrobe full of designer clothes and shoes, a lucrative professional career, etc.. I was with ya til you threw in demure... oops. Maybe I should consider moving to another country... since me and the women I know have been noticing most "available" american men seem to just want a barbie doll, with all her own money to contribute collaboratively to wealth building, while not interfering with the enjoyment of his toys and hobbies. hmmmm?

OK now I AM offended. There is not one thing in that quote that describes me. If that's what men are, no wonder I'm having a hard time finding a terrific woman! Guys, you're a really bad reflection on me!

I just had a conversation a few days ago with a gentleman about this point exactly. His viewpoint was that homes that have women as the head were better marriages. My words to him were that is completely against what the Bible and God say about a marriage. The Bible states that a man should be the head of his home. I know myself that is what I desire. I want a man who will lead my home with love for God and myself.
 
Would any women here date Balki Bartokomous from the 80's TV show Perfect Strangers? Remember that show??? Balki was the ultimate foreigner!!!

He actually made his American-born cousin Larry enjoy American life even better (maybe we need foreigners to remind us of the blessings and beauty of our own country's!!!).

I've heard that too. On a few talk shows even there's guys who say the foreign women appreciate men more...and were naming all these things that women would do for a man. I don't think anyone could really state that as a fact because there are some foreign girls who say that they believe that isn't true. I think a woman will appreciate a man because of who she is as a person. Whether she's an American woman or someone from another country. Cultures that are of different backgrounds can also clash, or they can work fine. I think it all comes down to the person or two people in the relationship not really saying this person will appreciate him or her more because they are from x country. Generalizing a group of people based on a few people's behavior to me is kind of ignorant, just sayin' ...everyone is different.

Who does he remind me of.....???? Maybe it is the accents people have from other countries that make others all crazy about them.
