Mat 10:1
And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power G1849 against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

G1849 - exousia - Strong's Greek Lexicon (kjv) (blueletterbible.org)

So how then is it then that Judas was the Son of Perdition?

Rom 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power G1411 of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

2Pe 1:3
According as his divine power G1411 hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

G1411 - dynamis - Strong's Greek Lexicon (kjv) (blueletterbible.org)

Because a temporary exousia is not the permanent indwelling Holy Spirit dynamis of the redeemed.

I agree with your summary statement. A similar "exousia" was the source of Samson's strength, Solomon's wisdom, and David's prowess in battle. However, Judas was a special case because he was born for a specific purpose: to betray Jesus. That doesn't preclude God working through him as He worked through the other disciples.

Totally agree with that. Which makes his denial even more tragic.
