Okay, look. If y'all are so concerned with having "proper" women, then go find one. Stop complaining about the rest of us. We're not complaining about you. Actually, the women in this thread were saying it's WRONG to bash men, but you and Perseus seem to think it's okay to bash women. However, I will not be bullied by males who don't know me or my sisters in Christ. Stop generalizing.

You and Perseus go have coffee and rate the women at Starbucks. Have fun.

This is bashing women? Proper women?

Most women complain about men behind their backs then wonder why there's so much tension. I've heard it myself. It could even be classed as gossip. Men complain about women too. The point: we're all bound to fall into sin.

I read alot on here from both the men and women. Its sucks to be hurt and then to try and trust again is horrific. However not once since my seperation till my divorce and even now, haven't I spoken one ill word about him to my duaghter. Why because I want her to KNOW there are godly men. Such as the men on here such as the men out in the world. Obviously being cautious is important. But what I don't want is to trash him because that is what she will think men are. They aren't all like that. It took one man for hurt to sink in, not millions. It took one man to restore my faith. But its Christ who holds me together.

I hear the pleading and begging and the standards for a man. But when was the last time you edified a man weither on here or in your life? When's the last time you complimented what a man did. He doesnt have to be your man. Just a man who open the door, who moved over to the side so you could have more room, who smiled at you.

You know one thing men have told me that women do is NAG, all it does is push them away. I scan these forums and if I was a new single male and read them I would be hesitent on going up to a women. Its griping and if you do it here im sure you do it in your life. What kind of energy are you pulling into your life? Where is the rejoice in christ?

I can only for myself I come here to edify, to laugh, to love my brothers and sisters in christ. With John's passing I don't feel the need to be attached. In fact 5 months after his passing and I'm still in love. I rejoice what I have when I am sad I praise, when its hard, I praise God. Why becuase life is too short and GOOD to not do that. Do I entertain the idea of meeting someone here or in real life ,sure I do. Just remember to think about the men who are trying to live for God,and pray a prayer of thanksgiving or a prayer that they continue seeking God. If we don't build each other up we will all fall.

Wow. Thank you for a post like this Shae. It goes both ways for men and women.

I would like to say that I have been greatly encouraged by some women on here that have been edifying and displayed love as it is described in 1 Corinthians 13. There is one woman in particular that I have had great fellowship with and see the potential for a great friendship. This means a lot to me as I was very uneasy after having been hurt recently and was isolating myself for awhile. It is a great encouragement to see women that love God and be able to have fellowship with them.

We all need to remember that we do not know what hurt that each person may have suffered. May we all carry the same compassion that Jesus had, towards one another.

awe thanks I'm glad! I really want to focus on building people up. men need to be encouraged. and I agree the bashing goes both ways. but it has to stop somewhere and it'd stopping with me.
