It's difficult to find places to give with a clear conscience...so many organizations are not exactly even remotely efficient or effective with the donations.

Enzyme water purifiers are great....$20 worth of PVC and a couple of buckets of "dirt" and it's good to go for thousands of gallons. But charities raise a million dollars for each Enzyme purifier....where's the money really going?

Just saying....things are getting difficult to find a place to give at times.

We give to our (small) local church and to Open Doors. Sometimes we give to needy individuals.

It's easy to criticise organisations, but remember that the logistics of getting to the really poor and needy are not always straightforward. In New Guinea, for example, many villages are only accessible by air. UPS does not deliver there and you can't get a Uber either. In some countries you need an armed escort to get around. That is not free.
