Jeremiah 23:11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the Lord. 12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the Lord.

The Bible warns us and we better listen. God is not mocked.

The rot first set in the Methodist Church when they rejected Wesley's doctrine of entire sanctification. Since then it has been a downward spiral.

the ecclesia is the body of believers, denominations need to go away, house churches inviting Holy Spirit to come and minister is the true church.
"Playing church" for an hour a week doesn't meet His standard.

UMC says they'd rather have the approval of the world than the approval of God. This has been the case for a long time, but now it's official.

They took over the UMC by ignoring the rules they didn't want and making everyone obey the rules they wanted to enforce. They're as crooked as politicians.

I'm not a Methodist, nor have I ever been. But, 2 years ago I attended a UMC church in Atlanta with someone who is Methodist. The preacher at this particular UMC taught that Christ could have came as a woman. He also mentioned that part of our brains are reptilian. Furthermore, he said that we don't have to believe in Christ, that it's okay if we just believe in God. Say what?? Of course, I have never went back to that church again. Meanwhile, in another area of Atlanta, is/was a UMC with a LGBT flag flying.

I was raised Methodist and I can remember attending my mom's adult Sunday school class back in the '70s; this kind of ridiculous speculation was going on even back then. Everyone seemed to be trying to outdo the other in casting doubt on God's word. No doubt we're seeing the chickens coming home to roost.

Just because the term "the Antichrist" is not scattered throughout the Bible does not mean that he is not presented under other names and descriptions. So that is a specious argument. Have you heard of "the Beast" in Revelation 13, and "the Man of Sin" "the Son of Perdition" "that Wicked" in 2 Thessalonians 2? Should we go on?
Are you referring to yourself in the plural? You do love to go on...

I made a simple statement. Never fails to amaze how many kick against Scripture.

My family used to go to a Methodist church. In my first Sunday school (1st grade), my teacher was a pedophile. Whenever I was sitting next to her, she would keep touching my knee and that made me feel uncomfortable. When I needed to go to the bathroom once, she insisted on going with me IN THE STALL and she actually watched me pee. When other kids sat next to her, they all had the same uncomfortable look and I would see her arm go under the table. I KNEW she was touching them on the knee.

We were all too young to understand what was going on so it was quite a few years before a Sunday came and the elders asked us about. They asked me if she ever touched my knee and I said yes (because it was true and I saw no reason to make that up). She never came back.

Then in my pre-teen years, I had a Sunday school teacher that didn't believe in any of the miracles in the Bible. If he couldn't explain one, he'd ignore it. For the feeding of the 5,000 though, he actually said that the 5,000 and their families were actually fed because other people quietly contributed food, that Jesus had nothing to do with that.

Needless to say, as soon as I got confirmed at 13, my parents allowed me to choose whether to keep going to the church or not. So I didn't!
