I know there are wealthy and poor areas in every country, even in every state here. There are towns here that I would not want to go to or drive through.
Do you USAsians have amazing race travel competitions like 'Lets see if we can visit every state' or..'Let's visit all the McDonalds' or 'Lets find all the Springfields' or 'Find the state with xxx flower' or do you throw a dart at a map of the USA, and then try to go where it lands? I mean this is the land of truckers, drive thrus and drive -ins. And RVs.

Ever tried to float down the Mississppi River? On a raft?

Oh I wanted to read that Zen and Motorcycle maintenance but the bookstores were always sold out and the library didn't carry it. Did you like Siddhartha? I still remember it. It sort of taught me some things.
Tending Life's Garden sounds like a good book. A self-help guru I used to listen to said the most we can really do is to tend to our own garden. He gave the example of a woman who had been left to die after being dismembered and dumped by her attacker and she somehow survived and has thrived. She even founded an organization for women.
I remember I enjoyed it it was kind of like reading The Alchemist by Paul Coehlo
If you enjoy spiritual quests.
But I liked the Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan better than any of them.

Haha no I never heard of any of those things. I know there was some guy who made it his goal to visit all of the Dennys, but that was just him. I've heard of people traveling the country in an RV but for most people that would just be a dream and that was in the 90s when RVs were trendy and gas was cheap. A client we had at my work did that with his family and they were in the news because they were actually doing it.

I don't think there are any drive-in theaters left. I went to one of the last ones 20+ years ago. It advertised that it was the last one still operating.

I've never been rafting but I know some who did.

i have ate at Denny's many times in various locations. Love the breakfast menu. Alas, no Denny's where I live in a small town in Tennessee.
My Uncle eats at Denny's every single night. He's like part of the Denny's family.

I liked ordering the chilli fries and the desserts.

I only read it because I was searching for "enlightenment", wisdom that relates to suffering, patience and inner peace. But IDK I never heard of John Bunyan, only Paul Bunyan, the big guy with the axe.

i'm not searching for inner peace anymore. I've found it comes from avoiding people. :giggle:

I used to eat Wendy's a lot but now they're too expensive here, just like all the other fast food. Our governor raised the minimum wage for fast food workers to $20 an hour last year.

Confession - I giraffe crashed/posted into a thread on BDF!

Will I be banned? From BDF?
