Hi friends

When my unresolved childhood trauma from being bullied all the time collides with my sometimes poor impulse control caused by autism, I tend to have a really strong urge for revenge and vengeance when someone does something wrong by me. Obviously this character flaw is really bad.

I did something pretty dumb which may get me into some trouble. I haven't hurt anyone so please pray for my protection from harm and trouble. Please pray for me to always love thy neighbor, despite what they do to me, and overcome my reflexive urges to retaliate.

Any advice from people who have overcome this issue is welcomed. I don't want to let my family down.

Just keep giving them urges to retaliate to our Lord...For God is an ever present help to us when we are in trouble...
We all have issues , yet the Holy Spirit is always sanctifying us day by day...You will find these urges becoming less and less if you walk by the Spirit and not the flesh...

I will offer a prayer for your situation. That's always been a fear of mine also, letting the family down, especially.

Agreed. Seek Him daily. And, I mean daily.
