Methuseleh died 7 days before the rain began, on the 10th day of the second month - - see Genesis 7.

It is unfortunate that the jews changed the dating of their Pentecost to a fixed day of Silvan 6.

Per scripture: Lev 23

15 And you shall count from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven full weeks shall they be, 16 counting fifty days to the morrow after the seventh sabbath; then you shall present a cereal offering of new grain to the Lord

Now what they have done is take the Passover which says they are to do no laborious work and call it a Sabbath, then count from the day after Passover to Silvan 6 ( 50 Days ) , making it calendar based. Sabbath is to be the 7th day of the week only.

The church also is wrong in my eyes for setting the Passover on a friday only which in truth it can be almost any day of the week. Church schedules Passover Sunday ( First Fruits) as Easter taking the meaning away of First Fruits being time of the Resurrection.

Next time you celebrate Passover, see if it is on a full moon! If not your timing is wrong and you are just doing a re-enactment on the wrong day.

I will have to disagree as preparation day is always the day before the Sabbath day

i agree with the ancient Hebrew tradition that the man whose name means when he dies, judgement, died the very day that God told Moses he would bring the flood in 7 days hence.

maybe you can explain why God would wait 24 days afterwards before giving Noah 7 days?

or why everyone else on earth died on the 17th day of the second month, instead of the 15th day of the first month?
 
Preparation day has always been the day before the Sabbath. Jews understood this quite well as when they were in the wilderness they had to collect the seed ( food ) , a double portion to have food for the Sabbath, the seventh day.

Oh I fully agree that the Creator established various means for HUMANS to create a calendar, but such is far different than His calendar. Where is your evidence that the ancient Hebrews correctly determined that the Sabbath was on the anniversary of the Creator taking His day of rest as opposed to arbitrarily choosing a day and assigning it as the proper day for the Sabbath?
 
As for the forth day

It was the 4th day before Passover that Jesus rode the donkey showing himself as the spotless Lamb of God which was chosen on the 10th day of the month.


Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month they shall take every man a lamb according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household;

per the record of scripture, sabbath was not given to man until Exodus 16, and it was timed with the giving of manna. the Jews did not choose the day, God did.

Very true, but that says nothing about God's calendar, only about man's.

But are you then saying that God had no calendar until He created the sun, moon and stars? How did He then create on the first day and know when it ended?
