Judgement has a different connotation than discernment. Since we are called to be wise, as well as compassionate we have to be very cunning about how we go about our spiritual lives... I love the scripture you quoted about how a delusional person will hate those who rebuke him, but a righteous man will bless that man who rebukes him. If I hate the man who makes me deeply question my own beliefs then I'm not really looking at things very deeply... using the discernment I mentioned I see that the man who rebukes me does me a great service... taking that to another level (i know they don't exactly fit, but i think in this case i may have something...) Enemies do me a greater service by busting down my pride and ungodly pursuits, they cannot touch my life in God, they can only affect material unless I take it to heart what they do to me.... With a little discernment I can see how enemies have done me a great service! God bless enemies... But really, I know what I have been told through scripture, but taking that gift of divine knowledge and then twisting it to condemn my brothers and sisters all over the world is very perverted. this is a sin i struggle with daily and i am very concerned for others that they not fall into the pitfall that is encouraged to an insane degree in American society in particular.... with our freedom of choice our society cultivates an attitude of judgement and labeling, we are almost set up to judge that america is justified in military action, that america can "save" people when people, given free will as we are, often choose some very odd things that fail to bring any true joy, and quite often complete misery.. Now we even have the right to marry members of our own sex? People ask aloud where it will end... I can make a prediction that it won't end very happily... very unfortunate as we are all worth more than all of the treasure in the world.... I jump around with topics because this is all one world... there is no such thing as freedom in the way it is understood here. Freedom to become enslaved by passion? Freedom to be prideful and judge others? it all ties in together.... I used to take alot of what I say for granted.... thats why i'm pointing it out, these obvious contradictions in society and our beautiful Christian religion... and it is indeed it is not a religion, but a way of life! a most difficult and heavenly way of life, but God helps us by his power to conquer demons! as long as we have the discernment to know when we need help... i find im in great need of help very consistently... these topics i mention can have volumes and volumes written on them in explanation... but rather just read the Scripture, its all in there, how Lucifer wanted to be God.... so he usurped the position of God, the seat of judgement, for God alone is judge. Take a lesson from our man-hating chief demon, don't judge, least you fall into hell, which is here.... ready and waiting for us, in the afterlife, but also in this life, anger is hell, lust is hell, idolatry is hell, let us repent in this life before we carry that hell into eternity!
