  1. How could God abolish His Law which gives comfort in affliction and trial? Psalms 119:92
  2. How could God do away with His Law which gives wisdom and understanding? Psalms 119:98, 100.
  3. How could God do away with the very Law that the Righteous, who inherit the New Earth, will have in their hearts? Psalms 37:29-31.
  4. How could God do away with the Law that Jesus said was more enduring than the earth itself? Matthew 5:17-19; Luke 16:17.
  5. How could God do away with the Law that forbids murder and adultery? James 2:10-12.
  6. How could God abolish the Ten Commandments that Jesus kept? John 15:10.
  7. How could God abolish a Law which is so perfect and wonderful that even if you break any part of it, you are guilty of all? James 2:10-12.
  8. How could God abolish the Law that Jesus referred to when He said: “Whosoever shall break one of these least Commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least [by those] in the kingdom?” Matthew 5:19.
  9. How could God abolish His Commandment in order to make room for Tradition-the commandments of men? Matthew 15:3, 6, 9.
  10. How could God abolish His Law which gives His people liberty when they obey it? James 2:10-12. It is the lawbreaker who is put in Jail and who is in bondage.
  11. How could God do away with the Law that helps a poor sinner to realise his condition? Romans 3:20; Romans 3:9, 23.
  12. How could God do away with the Law that “stops every mouth” and makes “all the world guilty before God?” Romans 3:19. Compare Romans 3:9, 23.
  13. How could God do away with the Law that tells what sin is when the Bible says: “If any man sin we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous?” 1 John 3:4 and 1 John 2:1. Why have an advocate if the law is gone?
  14. How could God abolish the Ten Commandments, or Moral Law, at the same time that He abolished the ceremonial law which had to do with the offerings and sacrifices? Ephesians 2:15; Colossians 2:14-17. The Hand writing of Ordinances are not the Ten Commandments. See also Colossians 2:14-16. The ceremonial law was instituted to show the people what to do when they broke the Moral Law. By their sacrifices they could show their faith in the great sacrifice which was to be offered on Calvary. All the Sacrifices and offerings pointed forward to Christ. When Jesus died the veil in the temple was rent signifying that the sacrificial or Ceremonial law had ended. Many people confuse the Ceremonial and Moral laws.
  15. How could God abolish the Law that has the Sabbath command in it when God Himself ceased from labour and rested on the seventh day, and your Bible says that all who have entered into rest (spiritual rest too) with Him, have ceased from their own works as God did from His? Hebrews 4:4, 9-10. Read and re-read those two verses.
  16. How could God do away with the very Law that His people are to keep in order to have works to show their faith? James 2:18. Read carefully James 2:10-12. The “works” here referred to are works of obedience as the verses plainly indicate. Paul says: “Do we make void the Law through faith? God forbid, we establish the Law.” Romans 3:31.
  17. How could God do away with the Ten Commandments that Jesus referred to when He said “whosoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven?” Matthew 5:19.
  18. How could God abolish the same Law that He promised to write in the heart of every Christian who is really under the New Covenant? Jeremiah 31:31; Hebrews 8:10.
  19. How could God abolish His Law when only those who keep it can have justification? Romans 2:13.
  20. How could God abolish the Law that the carnal of sinful mind refuses to obey? Romans 8:7.
  21. How could God destroy the very same Law that Jesus said He came not to destroy? Matthew 5:17-19.
  22. How could God do away with the Ten Commandments, the same Ten Commandments that Jesus said hung on the two greatest Commandments of Love to God and Love to Man? Matthew 22:35-40. The first four Commandments show our relation to God; the last six show our relation to Man. Thus they all hang on the two principles of love to God and to man.
  23. How could God do away with the same Commandments that Jesus told the young ruler to keep if he wanted to enter into life and be saved? Matthew 19:17. Compare Revelation 22:14.
  24. How could God abolish His Commandments when they give a good understanding to all who keep them? Psalms 111:10.
  25. How could God do away with His Commandments which are the foundation of sound doctrine? Proverbs 4:2.
  26. How could God make void His Law when Jesus condemned the Scribes and Pharisees for making void the Law of God by their tradition? Matthew 15:3, 6, 9.
  27. How could God do away with His Commandments when Jesus told His disciples to keep them if they loved Him? John 14:15. How much do we love Him?
  28. How could God have abolished His Law when the curse of God rests upon the world because the inhabitants have transgressed His Law? Isaiah 24:3-6.
  29. How could God abolish the Sabbath Commandment when He pronounced a blessing upon the man who would keep the Sabbath? Isaiah 56:2, 6.
  30. How could God abolish the Sabbath Commandment when He said that all who would take their foot off of the Sabbath, would be blessed in many ways, and would help to raise the foundations of generations, and be called to repairer of the breach? Isaiah 58:12-14.
  31. How could God abolish the Sabbath Commandment when Jesus said that He Himself was LORD of the Sabbath? Matthew 12:8.
  32. How could God abolish the Sabbath Commandment when He said the Sabbath was a sign of sanctification? Ezekiel 20:12. Should not a sanctified Sabbath and a sanctified person he in harmony?
  33. How could God turn away from His Law and abolish it when He has always been hurt when His people turned away from it? Jeremiah 16:10-11, 16; Isaiah 58:1, 12-14.
  34. How could God reject His Law and abolish it when He said He would bring evil upon those who rejected it? Jeremiah 6:19. Compare Jeremiah 6:4-5.
  35. How could God abolish the very Law that He says He has implanted in the hearts of those who “know Righteousness?” Isaiah 51:7.
  36. How could God abolish His Law that some people “will not hear” and even tell their ministers not to preach? Isaiah 30:8-10. God calls them rebellious children.
  37. How could God do away with His Commandments after promising peace and righteousness in abundance to those who “listened to His Commandments?” Isaiah 48:18.
  38. How could God abolish the Sabbath Commandment when He gave the Sabbath to be a sign that He is our God? Ezekiel 20:20; Exodus 31:16-17. The New Covenant was made with the children of Israel which if we be Christ's then we are. Hebrews 8:10. He is not a Jew which is one outwardly, but he is a Jew who is one inwardly and so if we are God's children then we are Abraham's seed and therefore children of Israel and heirs according to the promise. Romans 2:28-29; Galatians 3:28-29.
  39. How could God abolish His Commandments which are called righteousness, Psalms 119:172 and also, “My Righteousness shall not be abolished?” Isaiah 51:6. He also said, “Listen unto me you that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is My Law.” Isaiah 51:7.
  40. How could God abolish His Law after making the statement that some of the people would stop their ears and make their hearts like stone so they would not hear His Law? Zechariah 7:11-12.
  41. How could God do away with His Law after making the statement that the people have trespassed against His Law, and have “sown the wind and shall reap the whirlwind?” Hosea 8:1-7.
  42. How could God abolish the Ten Commandments which are the test by which we know that we know God? 1 John 2:3.
  43. How could God abolish His Commandments and then later have John write that the man who claims to know God and does not keep God's Commandments, is a liar? 1 John 2:4.
  44. How could God abolish His Commandments, when Jesus kept them and we are told “to walk even as He walked?” 1 John 2:6.
  45. How could God abolish His Commandments and also promise to hear the prayers of those who keep His Commandments? 1 John 3:22.
  46. How could God abolish His Commandments and later have John write that those who love God and keep His Commandments will love the children of God? 1 John 5:2.
  47. How could God have His Commandments abolished when it “is the love of God that we keep, His Commandments?” 1 John 5:3. Compare 2 John 1:6, and John 14:15.
  48. How could God abolish His Law and the Sabbath after He says the “Priests have violated His Law and have hid their eyes from His Sabbath, and have showed no difference between the holy and the profane?” Ezekiel 22:26.
  49. How could anyone accuse God of changing or abolishing His own perfect Law when the Prophet saw a PERSECUTING POWER that would think to change it? Daniel 7:25. Read about the four beasts and the little “horn.” Daniel 7:1-8. Read verse 23-fourth kingdom (Rome). The Little horn represents a religious power that started in Rome and in 321 A.D. they changed God's Sabbath to Sunday. A fact unknown by many Christians today. Now read verse 25 again and Adam Clarke's Commentary. Please read also who and what is the Antichrist.
  50. How could God have abolished His Commandments when it says that the last or remnant people of God will be keeping the Ten Commandments just before Jesus comes to gather the harvest of the earth? Read carefully Revelation 12:17 and Revelation 14:12-16.
  51. How could God abolish His Commandments and also promise that in the New Earth His People will be keeping the Sabbath? Isaiah 66:22-23. The Sabbath Command is in the centre of His Law. The Sabbath is God's Mark or Sign of His Power and authority as the Creator. Exodus 20:8-11. The Sabbath has always been God's test of obedience. Exodus 16:4-30. See also what is the mark of the beast. God's Law is in His Heart. May we never wound His heart of love and insult His Grace. If God has abolished His Law then hundreds of texts in your Bible become meaningless and should be left out, for example:
  52. All the texts that mention or refer to the Law.
  53. All the texts that mention the Commandments of God.
  54. All the texts that speak of SIN. (Sin is the transgression of the Law. 1 John 3:4).
  55. All the texts that speak of obedience.
  56. All the texts that speak of transgression.
  57. All the texts that speak of repentance.
  58. All the texts that speak of Jesus as the Saviour from sin. etc, etc.
If God has abolished any part of His Ten Commandment Law then all the scriptures that speak of the Law as Perfect, Holy, Just, Good and Unchangeable, etc., become absolutely meaningless. “Not one tittle of the Law shall fall.” If we offend in one point of the Ten Commandments we are guilty of all. See James 2:10-12 and Matthew 5:17-19 page.

There you go, if you just feel the need to have someone to argue with, argue with THAT.

Are you still here? And by the way you never answered my question. Are you really keeping the Sabbath?

Then what shall we do? We are not capable of keeping the law. How then shall we keep it? The law brings to light our sin for I would not have sin unless the law accused me. What shall I do, the law gives me no hope for I am condemn by it and the curse of death is in the law. Oh wretched man that I am, who will deliver me.

Hebrews 7:12 (NASB) [SUP]12 [/SUP]For when the priesthood is changed, of necessity there takes place a change of law also.
Hebrews 7:12 (NLT) [SUP]12 [/SUP]And if the priesthood is changed, the law must also be changed to permit it.

Jesus is a high priest after the order of Melchisedec, NOT Aaron or the tribe of Levi! We are no longer under the law of Moses. We are now under the law of Christ.

Hebrews 5:6 (KJV) [SUP]6 [/SUP]As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 5:10 (KJV) [SUP]10 [/SUP]Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 6:20 (KJV) [SUP]20 [/SUP]Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 7:11 (KJV) [SUP]11 [/SUP]If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

Hebrews 7:15 (KJV) [SUP]15 [/SUP]And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

Hebrews 7:17 (KJV) [SUP]17 [/SUP]For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 7:21 (KJV) [SUP]21 [/SUP](For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec

Jesus is my Sabbath, I rest in Him. Where else can I rest. In Che mosh or Asteroth or maybe Baal or Molech, maybe Dagon can give it to me. Rest in your day, maybe the child of the Sun and Moon which is Pharaoh can.

The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. Jesus came for man and not man for Jesus.

And if you just want someone to argue with about the Sabbath, argue with this:

[h=2]100 Bible Facts Concerning the Sabbath Truth[/h]So the questions are: WHY keep the Sabbath day? What is the object of the Sabbath? Who made it? When was it made and for whom? Which day is the true Sabbath? Many keep the first day of the week or Sunday. What Bible authority have they for this? There are over 500 different denominations of Sabbath keeping Churches in the world that keep the Seventh day, or Saturday. What Scripture have they for that? Do we believe what sinful man tells us or do we trust what the Word of God says? Here are the facts about both days as stated in the Word of God.

  1. After working the first six days of the week in creating this earth, the great God rested on the Seventh day. (Genesis 2:1-3)
  2. This stamped that day as God’s rest day, or Sabbath day, as Sabbath day means rest day. To illustrate: When a person is born on a certain day, that day thus becomes his birthday. So when God rested upon the Seventh day, that day became His rest, or Sabbath, day.
  3. Therefore the Seventh day must always be God’s Sabbath day. Can you change your birthday from the day on which you were born to one on which you were not born? No. Neither can you change God’s rest day to a day on which He did not rest. Hence the Seventh day is still God’s Sabbath day.
  4. The Creator blessed the Seventh day. (Genesis 2:3) Note also that the word translated “rested” in our English Bibles in Genesis 2:3 is actually “shabath” in the Hebrew and means Sabbath.
  5. He sanctified the Seventh day. (Exodus 20:11) Have you stopped and thought why we have a seven day week?
  6. He made it the Sabbath day in the Garden of Eden. (Genesis 2:1-3)
  7. It was made before the fall; hence it is not a type; for types were not introduced till after the fall.
  8. Jesus says it was made for man (Mark 2:27), that is, for the race, as the word man is here unlimited; hence, for the Gentile as well as for the Jew.
  9. It is a memorial of creation. (Exodus 20:11; 31:17) Every time we rest upon the Seventh day, as God did at creation, we commemorate that grand event.
  10. It was given to Adam, the head of the human race. (Mark 2:27; Genesis 2:1-3)
  11. Saturday is called the Sabbath in over 100 languages just as it was named at creation. This dates back to Babel in Genesis 11, where Saturday was recognized as the Sabbath day and was incorporated into the very name of the day. In English we have the Pagan name Saturday.
  12. It is not a Jewish institution, for it was made 2,300 years before ever there was a Jew.
  13. The Bible never calls it the Jewish Sabbath, but always “the Sabbath of the Lord thy God.” Men should be cautious how they stigmatize God’s holy rest day.
  14. Evident reference is made to the Sabbath and the seven-day week all, through the patriarchal age.
  15. It was a part of God’s law before Sinai. God tested His children to see if they would keep His Commandments. How did God test them? By seeing if they would keep THE Seventh day. (Exodus 16:4-30)
  16. Then God placed it in the heart of His moral law. (Exodus 20:1-17) Why did He place it there if it was not like the other nine precepts, which all admit to be immutable?
  17. The Seventh-day Sabbath was commanded by the voice of the living God. (Deuteronomy 4:12-13)
  18. Then He wrote the Commandment with His own finger. (Exodus 31:18)
  19. He engraved it in the enduring stone, indicating its imperishable nature. (Deuteronomy 5:22)
  20. It was sacredly preserved in the ark in the holy of holies. (Deuteronomy 10:5)
  21. God forbade work upon the Sabbath, even in the most hurrying times. (Exodus 34:21)
  22. God destroyed the Israelites in the wilderness because they profaned the Sabbath. (Ezekiel 20:12-13)
  23. It is the sign of the true God, by which we are to know Him from false gods. (Ezekiel 20:20)
  24. He sent them into the Babylonish captivity for breaking it. (Nehemiah 13:18)
  25. He destroyed Jerusalem for its violation. (Jeremiah 17:27)
  26. The day was not changed by any direction from God but was changed by Constantine in favour of Sun worship, hence the pagan name Sunday.
  27. God has pronounced a special blessing on all the Gentiles who will keep it. (Isaiah 56:2, 6)
  28. This is in the prophecy, which refers wholly to the Christian dispensation. (See Isaiah 56)
  29. God has promised to bless all who keep the Sabbath. (Isaiah 56:2, 6)
  30. The Lord requires us to call it “honourable”. (Isaiah 58:13) Beware, ye who take delight in calling it the. “old Jewish Sabbath,” “a yoke of bondage,” etc.
  31. After the holy Sabbath has been trodden down “many generations,” it is to be restored in the last days. (Isaiah 58:12-13)
  32. All the holy prophets kept the Seventh day.
  33. When the Son of God came, He kept the Seventh day all His life. (Luke 4:16; John 15:10) Thus He followed His Father’s example at creation. Shall we not be safe in following the example of both the Father and the Son?
  34. The Seventh day is the Lord’s Day. (See Revelation 1:10; Mark 2:28; Isaiah 58:13; Exodus 20:10)
  35. Jesus was Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28), that is, to love and protect it, as the husband is the lord of the wife, to love and cherish her (1 Peter 3:6)
  36. He taught His disciples that they should do nothing upon the Sabbath day but what was “lawful” (Matthew 12:12)
  37. He instructed His apostles that the Sabbath would still be kept forty years after His resurrection. (Matthew 24:20) See also is Sabbath keeping found in the New Testament after the cross.
  38. The pious women who had been with Jesus carefully kept the Seventh day after His death. (Luke 23:55-56)
  39. Thirty years after Christ’s resurrection, the Holy Spirit’ expressly calls it “the Sabbath day,” (Acts 13:14)
  40. Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, called it the “Sabbath day” in A.D. 45. (Acts 13:27) Did not Paul know? Or shall we believe modern teachers, who affirm that it ceased to be the Sabbath at the resurrection of Christ?
  41. Luke, the inspired Christian historian, writing as late as A.D. 62, calls it the “Sabbath day.” (Acts 13:44)
  42. The Gentile converts called it the Sabbath. (Acts 13:42)
  43. In the great Christian council, A.D. 49. In the presence of the apostles and thousands of disciples, James calls it the “Sabbath day.” (Acts 15:21)
  44. It was customary to hold prayer meetings upon that day. (Acts 16:13)
  45. Paul read the Scriptures in public meetings on that day. (Acts 17:1-2)
  46. It was his custom to preach upon that day. (Acts 17:1-2)
  47. The Book of Acts alone gives a record of his holding eighty-four meetings upon that day. (See Acts 13:14, 42, 44; 16:13; 17:1-2; 18:4)
  48. There was never any dispute between the Christians and the Jews about the Sabbath day. This is proof that the Christians still observed the same day that the Jews did.
  49. In all their accusations against Paul, they never charged him with disregarding the Sabbath day. Why did they not, if he did not keep it?
  50. Paul himself expressly declared that he had kept the law. “Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all … to the Jews have I done no wrong” Acts 25:8, 10. How could this be true if he had not kept the Sabbath? The Jews would have accused Paul of breaking the Sabbath if he had.
  51. The Sabbath is mentioned in the New Testament fifty-nine times, and always with respect, bearing the same title it had in the Old Testament, “the Sabbath day.”
  52. Not a word is said anywhere in the New Testament about the Sabbath being abolished, done away, changed, or anything of the kind.
  53. The Sabbath of the Lord is not to be confused with the temporary Jewish ceremonial sabbaths that pointed forward to the work of Jesus on the cross as these had feast days, monthly new moons and yearly ceremonial sabbaths that did end at the cross. Eg; Passover sabbath. Passages typically misunderstood are Romans 14:5, Galatians 4:9-10 and Colossians 2:14-16. See Colossians 2:16 and two laws compared and Romans 14:5 Commentary. See also the law and Galatians.
  54. God calls His Sabbath “My Sabbath” (Exodus 31:13, Ezekiel 20:20) where the ceremonial sabbaths which were for Israel only, God calls them “HER sabbaths.” (Hosea 2:11, Lamentations 1:7)
  55. God has never given permission to any man to work upon it. Reader, by what authority do you use - the Seventh day for common labour?
  56. No Christian of the New Testament, either before or after the resurrection, ever did ordinary work upon the Seventh day. Find one case of that kind, and we will yield the question. Why should modern Christians do differently from Bible Christians?
  57. There is no record that God has ever removed His blessing or sanctification from the Seventh day.
  58. As the Sabbath was kept in Eden before the fall, so it will be observed eternally in the new earth after the restitution. (Isaiah 66:22-23)
  59. The Seventh-day Sabbath was an important part of the law of God, as it came from His own mouth, and was written by His own finger upon stone at Sinai. (See Exodus 20) When Jesus began His work, He expressly declared that He had not come to destroy the law. “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets.” (Matthew 5:17-19) See the meaning of fulfilling the law.
  60. Jesus severely condemned the Pharisees as hypocrites for pretending to love God, while at the same tune they made void one of the Ten Commandments by their tradition. The keeping of Sunday is only a tradition of men. (Mark 7:6-9)

and this...

[h=2]Forty Bible Facts Concerning the First Day of the Week[/h]
  1. The very first thing recorded In the Bible is work done on Sunday, the first day of the week. (Genesis 1:1-5) The Creator Himself did this. If God made the earth on Sunday, can it be wicked for us to work on Sunday?
  2. God commands men to work upon the first day of the week. (Exodus 20:8-11) Is it wrong to obey God?
  3. None of the patriarchs ever kept it.
  4. None of the holy prophets ever kept it.
  5. By the express command of-God, His holy people used the first day of the week as a common working day for 4,000 years, at least.
  6. God Himself calls it a “working” day. (Ezekiel 46:1)
  7. God did not rest upon it.
  8. He never blessed it.
  9. Christ did not rest upon it.
  10. Jesus was a carpenter (Mark 6:3), and worked at His trade until He was thirty years old. He kept the Sabbath and worked six days in the week, as all admit. Hence He did many a hard day’s work on Sunday.
  11. The apostles worked upon it during the same time.
  12. The apostles never rested upon it.
  13. Christ never blessed it.
  14. It has never been blessed by any divine authority.
  15. It has never been sanctified.
  16. No law was ever given to enforce the keeping of it, hence it is no transgression to work upon it. “Where no law is, there is no transgression.” Romans 4:15 (See also 1 John 3:4)
  17. The New Testament nowhere forbids work to be done on it.
  18. No penalty is provided for its violation.
  19. No blessing is promised for its observance.
  20. No regulation is given as to how it ought to be observed. Would this be so if the Lord wished us to keep it?
  21. It is never called the Christian Sabbath.
  22. It is never called the Sabbath day at all.
  23. It is never called the Lord’s day.
  24. It is never called even a rest day.
  25. No sacred title whatever is applied to it. Then why should we call it holy?
  26. It is simply called “first day of the week.”
  27. Jesus never-mentioned it in any way, never took its name upon His lips, so far as the record shows.
  28. The word Sunday never occurs in the Bible at all.
  29. Neither God, Christ, nor inspired men ever said one word in favour of Sunday as a holy day.
  30. The first day of the week is mentioned only eight times in all the New Testament. (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2, 9; Luke 24:1; John 20:1, 19; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2)
  31. Six of these texts refer to the same first day of the week.
  32. Paul directed the saints to look over their secular affairs on that day. (1 Corinthians 16:2)
  33. In all the New Testament we have a record of only one religious meeting held upon that day, and even this was a night meeting. (Acts 20:7)
  34. There is not intimation that they ever held a meeting upon it before or after that.
  35. It was not their custom to meet on that day.
  36. There was no requirement to break bread on that day.
  37. We have an account of only one instance in which it was done. (Acts 20:7)
  38. That was done in the night after midnight on a Saturday meeting that went past sunset and so became the first day of the week. (Acts 20:7) This was just an extended Sabbath meeting that went very late as Paul was departing the following day. Jesus broke bread (fellowship meal) on Thursday evening (Luke 22), and the disciples sometimes did it every day. (Acts 2:46)
  39. The Bible nowhere says that the first day of the week commemorates the resurrection of Christ. This is a tradition of men, which contradicts the law of God. (Mark 7:6-9) Baptism commemorates the burial and resurrection of Jesus. (Romans 6:3-5)
  40. Finally, the New Testament is totally silent with regard to any change of the Sabbath day or any sacredness for the first day.
Here are one hundred plain Bible facts about the real Sabbath truth showing conclusively that the Seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord in both the Old and New Testament.

I would like to point out the number 1. has God rested, How many did Jesus heal on the Sabbath. Does he not strive with man erry day? How many synagogues did He preach in on the Sabbath. Rest, your looking at the natural and not the spiritual. True rest is faith in the cross and not a day.

[h=3]Galatians 3[/h]King James Version (KJV)

3 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

Reading through some of these comments here, I easily understand why the person making the opening post up and left the place.

There was one in the parable that Christ gave us who begged that someone from the dead might go to his relatives and warn them that they might believe. But Christ told them, “They have Moses and the prophets.... If they hear not [them], neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” ...

In other words, go read through the list of a couple of hundred Bible verses on the Law and the 7th Day Sabbath, and if it doesn't register in your little minds after that, it ain't going to matter WHAT anybody tries to tell you.
I wouldn't want to argue with a bunch of Ninnys myself.

Genesis 17:13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

According to Genesis 17:13 Circumcision is an everlasting covenant right?

Why then is Paul telling the Galatians this?

Galatians 5:
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

The answer to that is we have a new High Priest and a new spiritual law of faith. The old passes away and the new spiritual law is in force. We are now circumcised with the circumcision made without hands. Circumcision of the heart.
Romans 2:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

It's the same exact situation with Sabbath observance. We go from the old to the new spiritual Sabbath rest in Christ who is Lord of the Sabbath.

To the original poster and those fighting for the Sabbath: I am glad that you have found this truth and are living in it. Please remember that people will not care what you think if they do not think that you care. You may fight and win this online battle, but in turn might lose the war for peoples souls - and no matter how well you keep the Sabbath, the loss of souls is infinitely more damaging. Christ always taught kingdom truths with compassion and kindness. Yes, the Word does tell us to shout and proclaim the truth to a dying world, but just as it is said about the commandments, do not hold onto some truth (like the 10 commandments) and then leave out the rest (like mercy, grace and love). For in doing so, you invalidate the truth that you wish to proclaim.

For those that are against the Sabbath: The simple truth is that Sunday is not the Sabbath day spoken of in the Bible. There is simply no mention in the Word that is was changed by anyone, that is just the truth. (Just looking at Easter which is celebrated by many people - Good Friday, then the day of Rest, then Easter Sunday. So every Easter highlights what day is the Sabbath - off topic so in brackets) Yet aside from that, keeping the Sabbath will by no means gain you entry into heaven, only your relationship will. As you grow, the Spirit teachers you new truths, and then helps you to live out those truths. Live out whatever truth has been shown to you from the Bible by the Spirit as best you can, and more and more light will be bestowed upon you. No day, no matter how special, will gain you entry. Only that relationship will.
Having said that, I know that the argument is not 'What day is Sabbath', but more 'The commandments are done away with' :P

I do believe in keeping the 7th day Sabbath. Simply because I believe in keeping the 10 commandments. The Law exposes our sin, it shows us what is sin. I would not have known that stealing was a sin unless the Law revealed it to me. So for me to do away with the Law, means that sin does not exist any longer. I don't believe that killing, stealing or committing adultery is right, so therefore I try to keep all 10 including worshiping God alone, honoring Gods name, placing Him first and keeping His Sabbath, all while under Grace. So in my attempt to keep some (not coveting, having idols and adultery) I do not wish to avoid keeping others (Love, Mercy and even the Sabbath); and in turn not live up to the light that has been revealed to me by the Spirit.

For Christ's sake! I thought that every Christian would know that the Bible says just because we are under grace doesn't mean that we are now free to transgress the law of God!

If you think Jesus Christ suffering and DYING for your transgression of the 10 commandment law now gives YOU the so-called LIBERTY to go right out and break that same law again, you have a sick, perverted, TWISTED idea of what Christianity is.

Go take a REAL bible course, for crying out loud. Go back to school! And stop using God's Word to try to give yourself an excuse for breaking the law of God!

Jesus said if you love Me keep My commandments. He did NOT say if you love Me, start looking for ways to weasel out of keeping the law.

Is it any wonder Atheists are disgusted with Christianity? They can see the hypocrisy, they aren't stupid.

Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Okay now lets use our Christian brains a little bit shall we?

Paul just told us that we cannot, I said should not get the misguided notion that it is now alright to sin "because we are not under the law, but under grace". And so what IS SIN then? Its transgression of God's law, of course!

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

GO back and learn your ABC's of Christianity. Go take a Christianity 101 course.

There is no liberty given by God for anyone to go out and live in sin at any time for any reason. Sin is not justified by grace and never has been. Sin has been crucified and the wages of it paid for through the death of Christ and the sinner is justified by grace through faith when he believes it. From that point of being justified the sinner is no longer under the law or its condemnation but under grace that teaches the justified believer to deny ungodliness and to live godly, soberly and rightouesly in this present world. After being justified by grace we do not use the grace of God and begin to live in sin or for an occasion to live in the flesh. If we sin we are under grace and the conviction of the Spirit and not under the law, for the law would minister death and condemn us, but the Spirit convicts us and gives us life. That is the HUGE difference for those who are under the law vs those who are placed under grace in Christ. Under grace it is very possible that we could get very sloppy in the flesh and even backslide into sin but the Spirit through grace can restore the believer and teach them to grow up, something the law has no power to do. It is the law of the Spirit of life that delivers and makes us free from the law of sin and death so that we can grow up in grace and knowledge of Christ.

Keeping the Sabbath under the law does not minister Christ in any way to the believer but abiding in the words of Christ and mixing faith with what we hear from the Spirit profits us by ministering the life of Christ and in bearing fruit unto God. You can keep all the commandments in the flesh without the Spirit and it would profit you nothing. If any want to be under the law to keep the commandments of the law, then you will have to be judged by the law. If you offend the law in just one point, you are guilty of breaking the whole law as a transgressor and shall be judged by the law as a whole.

So now we can read Gal 5:18... If we be led by the Spirit, we are not under the law (or the condemnation of it, my add).

One thing that might help me understand the sabbath day teaching is the founder of the the SDA church was a lady who had a certain of brain damage that is known to cause religious hallucinations. More information on this is described here: Ellen White's Head Injury
