Matthew 24 has always been very interesting to everybody where they believe in a pre-tribulation rapture, or deny the Mosaic Law as relevant for today, so I will attempt to bring the truth to light as we connect some of the Old Testament with this chapter.

There is much I could present, but for those of you who read this, I will refrain from making explanations that I believe are true. The reason is because until we see the prophecy come true, one can only hypothesize, so I only will explain what “the abomination of desolation” means in Hebrew. The CJB says “the abomination that causes desolation”, which is more like Daniel than Matthew. This is something that helps us understand in a more full way what Jesus is saying to His disciples.

Abomination=8251 (1 Kings 11:7) Hebrew (winked i.e. turning a blind eye away from truth) A fiery spirit of dynamic movement, (relating to 666, the number of man), leading to the illumination of thought process that fixes the mind on a certain hierarchical distribution leading to physical senses of hope. A further explanation would be something that is disgusting, filthy, and utterly detestable.

Good points all the way through, especially the last. According to what Paul wrote to the Colossians, what John wrote about Christ Jesus, and what our Lord and Savior asked of His Father (our Father), what you have presented here has been an ongoing process since the beginning of time. In the course of checking how the Hebrew language read concerning “My God, My God”, it was astonishing to me if I wrote only the first “My God” (Eli) in Hebrew, that it gave me the word “Me.” I surmise that these words “My God, My God” needed to be repeated for the sake of addressing both Christ and God Almighty.

All I can say at this point is that there was such a devastating separation at the cross, that one must consider the son of man being separated from the Son of God, along with being separated from His own Father because of our sins He was dying with. I thought it necessary to address as something to consider, recognizing that Jesus endured so much more than we (believers in Him) will ever be able to comprehend.

There is probably more to the book of Matthew than what I have presented so far, but I think that I will continue with Mark anyway. I’m sure that the next three books will be redundant, for the most part, but when reading the scriptures, repetition is good. That’s why we can say the Bible is the Living Word. There is a conflict between physical and Spiritual. This is where most mistake the truth concerning all of the Word of God. We are exhorted to abide in the concept of 1 Corinthians 2:12-16 (KJV)
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

There is no conflict between the old and the new when seeing it through the mind of Christ.

Obviously, the ground is the heart condition according to Luke 8:15. If we refuse to obey this commandment, and its implications defined in His law that surround this commandment, we have a hardened heart that rejects all Spiritual truth, or a stony heart that is unable to endure, or a heart that is more concerned about the values of the world rather than the values written the Word of God.

Deuteronomy 6:5 (BBE)
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And the Lord your God is to be loved with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

Granted, good ground is agitated by a plow, and made fertile by manure. Expect, and accept the agitations and what smells to be garbage and dung. Don’t go hunting for it, for it will find you. (Romans 8:28)

Trusting in God through these trials will make your heart fertile enough to receive the truth, and bring forth good fruit. Remember, hope that is seen isn’t hope, and we are saved by hope. (Romans 8:24 and 25) Trust in this (His hope) by your gift of faith. It works!

Mark 4:20 (KJV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP]And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
 
As I was studying Mark chapter 7, I realized there was something bigger going through Jesus’ mind than what I ever realized before. So in the process of compiling the information that I have put together in a comprehensive way, I have decided to give the truth of the Mosaic Law first, before quoting Mark 7:1-8. I will post a number of scriptures concerning the law of washing, so we can see what the truth behind it. So to expose the traditions that the Scribes and Pharisees labeled as the law, we will be able to see that they were really endorsing something that (through the centuries) was from man and not God.

Exodus 30:17-21 (CJB)
17 ADONAI said to Moshe,
18 "You are to make a basin of bronze, with a base of bronze, for washing. Place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it.
19 Aharon and his sons will wash their hands and feet there
20 when they enter the tent of meeting - they are to wash with water, so that they won't die. Also when they approach the altar to minister by burning an offering for ADONAI,
21 they are to wash their hands and feet, so that they won't die. This is to be a perpetual law for them through all their generations.

Everything concerning the priesthood through Aaron, should be firmly equated with Christ (being the High Priest) through Judah. Jesus carried the filth of the world to the cross, and was not clean before His Father. Henceforth, Jesus died, and was forsaken as the sons of Aaron would have been if they had not washed according to the commandments given.
Exodus 30:22-30 (CJB)
22 ADONAI said to Moshe,
23 "Take the best spices - 500 shekels of myrrh [121/2 pounds], half this amount (250 shekels) of aromatic cinnamon [61/4 pounds], 250 shekels of aromatic cane,
24 500 shekels of cassia (use the sanctuary standard), and one gallon of olive oil –
25 and make them into a holy anointing oil; blend it and perfume it as would an expert perfume-maker; it will be a holy anointing oil.
26 Use it to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark for the testimony,
27 the table and all its utensils, the menorah and all its utensils, the incense altar,
28 the altar for burnt offerings and all its utensils, and the basin with its base.
29 You are to consecrate them - they will be especially holy, and whatever touches them will be holy.
30 Then you are to anoint Aharon and his sons - you are to consecrate them to serve me in the office of cohen.

The anointing oil that was made was not to be duplicated. It is a clear symbol of the Holy Spirit. Duplicating it would symbolize and represent another spirit other than God’s Spirit. The anointing oil was made of olive oil as carrier oil with myrrh, cinnamon, cassia and calamus oils added. These oils are purifying (myrrh), healing, cleansing, and promote positive thoughts, steady mental/emotional/spiritual state (calamus).

I believe this is a clear picture of repentance and being baptized, leading to the receiving of the Holy Spirit of God. Compare these scriptures.
Acts 2:38 (KJV)
[SUP]38 [/SUP]Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
[SUP]9 [/SUP]But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Exodus 40:9-10 (CJB)
9"Take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and everything in it -consecrate it with all its furnishings; then it will be holy.
10 Anoint the altar for burnt offerings with all its utensils - consecrate the altar; then the altar will be especially holy.

All work that a Christian does, if it is done through faith, has to have the anointing of the Holy Spirit, otherwise it is of no effect.
James 2:18 (KJV)
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
 
Leviticus 6:24-28(CJB)
24 ADONAI said to Moshe,
25 "Tell Aharon and his sons, 'This is the law for the sin offering: the sin offering is to be slaughtered before ADONAI in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered; it is especially holy.
26 The cohen who offers it for sin is to eat it -it is to be eaten in a holy place, in the courtyard of the tent of meeting.

The priesthood was to eat of the sacrifice offered by the congregation, or the individual, as a symbol of bearing their sins.

27 Whatever touches its flesh will become holy; if any of its blood splashes on any item of clothing, you are to wash it in a holy place.
28 The clay pot in which it is cooked must be broken; if it is cooked in a bronze pot, it must be scoured and rinsed in water.

The clay pot represents a physical aspect of sacrifice in that it needed to be replaced. It could be related to the priesthood that was of the tribe of Levi. This priestly tribe had a high priest that would someday die, and then his eldest son would take the place of the high priest.

The bronze pot would have to be washed, and was probably one of the temple vessels. This could be related to the Priesthood of Judah through Christ Jesus. Jesus was baptized by John (His cousin) and was washed to bear the sins of the people or person offering the sacrifice.
 
Leviticus 14:8-9 (CJB)
8 He who is to be purified must wash his clothes, shave off all his hair and bathe himself in water. Then he will be clean; and after that, he may enter the camp; but he must live outside his tent for seven days.
9 On the seventh day he is to shave all the hair off his head, also his beard and eyebrows - he must shave off all his hair; and he is to wash his clothes and bathe his body in water; and he will be clean.

Leviticus chapter 14 describes the “law of leprosy”, and how to cure the diseased when God’s will is to heal. It is a clear picture of what I call the process of salvation incorporating our High Priest, Christ Jesus. As we can see, the cutting of the hair that holds the corruption, the washing of the clothes, and the washing of the body, is a clear picture of separation from the corruption of world values, and the daily cleansing through the Holy Spirit, and the Word of God given through Jesus Christ.

The following is the cleansing from sickness, such as stomach flu and such. It could also be a significant process in the spiritual realm.
Leviticus 15:1-13 (CJB)
1 ADONAI said to Moshe and Aharon,
2 "Tell the people of Isra'el, 'When any man has a discharge from his body, the discharge is unclean.
3 The discharge is unclean no matter whether it continues flowing or has stopped; it is still his uncleanness.
4 Every bed which the person with the discharge lies on is unclean, and everything he sits on is unclean.
5 Whoever touches his bed is to wash his clothes and bathe himself in water; he will be unclean until evening.
6 Whoever sits on anything the person with the discharge sat on is to wash his clothes and bathe himself in water; he will be unclean until evening.
7 Anyone who touches the body of the person with the discharge is to wash his clothes and bathe himself in water; he will be unclean until evening.
8 If the person with the discharge spits on someone who is clean, the latter is to wash his clothes and bathe himself in water; he will be unclean until evening.
9 Any saddle that the person with the discharge rides on will be unclean.
10 Whoever touches anything that was under him will be unclean until evening; he who carries those things is to wash his clothes and bathe himself in water; he will be unclean until evening.
11 If the person with the discharge fails to rinse his hands in water before touching someone, that person is to wash his clothes and bathe himself in water; he will be unclean until evening.
12 If the person with the discharge touches a clay pot, it must be broken; if he touches a wooden utensil, it must be rinsed in water.
13 "'When a person with a discharge has become free of it, he is to count seven days for his purification. Then he is to wash his clothes and bathe his body in running water; after that, he will be clean.

The following is how a soldier is to stay clean. The camp is the church of today. We are soldiers of the cross.
Deuteronomy 23:9-14 (CJB)
9 "When you are in camp, at war with your enemies, you are to guard yourself against anything bad.
10 If there is a man among you who is unclean because of a nocturnal emission, he is to go outside the camp; he is not to enter the camp.
11 When evening arrives he is to bathe himself in water, and after sunset he may enter the camp.
12 Also you are to have an area outside the camp to use as a latrine.
13 You must include a trowel with your equipment, and when you relieve yourself, you are to dig a hole first and afterwards cover your excrement.
14 For ADONAI your God moves about in your camp to rescue you and to hand over your enemies to you. Therefore your camp must be a holy place. [ADONAI] should not see anything indecent among you, or he will turn away from you.

As defined in the previous posts 116, 117, and 118, the tradition mentioned in verse 3, the Pharisees totally missed the significance of the law for real. Now, there is certainly nothing wrong with washing the hands before we eat or washing the dishes. I find nowhere in the Mosaic Law that what the Pharisees presented to Jesus and His disciples was the entire law of cleansing. They missed the boat, and furthermore required others to miss it too. This is the problem that Jesus had with them. It wasn’t the Mosaic Law that Jesus was against, it was the distortion by the priesthood of that day that He had the problem with.

Mark 7:1-8 (CJB with translated words for better understanding)
1 The Pharisees and some of the Torah-teachers who had come from Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) gathered together with Yeshua (Jesus)
2 and saw that some of his disciples ate with ritually unclean hands, that is, without doing *n'tilat-yadayim.
3 (For the Pharisees, and indeed all the Judeans, holding fast to the Tradition of the Elders, do not eat unless they have given their hands a ceremonial washing.
4 Also, when they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they have rinsed their hands up to the wrist; and they adhere to many other traditions, such as washing cups, pots and bronze vessels.)
5 The Pharisees and the Torah-teachers asked him, "Why don't your disciples live in accordance with the Tradition of the Elders, but instead eat with ritually unclean hands?"
6Yeshua answered them, **"Yesha`yahu was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites -- as it is written, `These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far away from me.
7 Their worship of me is useless, because they teach man-made rules as if they were doctrines.'
8 "You depart from God's command and hold onto human tradition. Indeed,"
9 he said to them, "you have made a fine art of departing from God's command in order to keep your tradition!

*n'tilat-yadayim=ceremonial hand-washing prescribed by the Oral Torah to be done before meals and at other times in order to be ritually pure; it continues to be a norm in Orthodox Judaism.

“Their fire” is possessive statement, well worth noting.

Mark 9:43-48 (KJV)
[SUP]43 [/SUP]And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
[SUP]44 [/SUP]Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
[SUP]45 [/SUP]And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

Notice also, that the words Jesus spoke concerning the “worm”, is possessive. Most people that I have heard from behind the pulpit misquote these verses saying “where THE worm dieth not.”

Whether these worms belong to the hand, foot, eye, or to the individual’s pride of life, that really makes little difference. It clearly defines what we desire aside from God’s will. It’s what we do, the way we walk, and what we lust after, that will put us in this condition unless we reach out with sincerity for the gift God offers through Christ Jesus called “salvation”.

1 John 2:15-16 (KJV)
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

*Isaiah 66:24 (direct from the Hebrew) And went and saw - stellar corpses of people , crimes of me : that "Tolatm" (see descriptions below) not die , and blame will not turn off, **and were odium, all - meat.

**and were odium, all - meat = where there was a theological hatred against fleshly desires.

Tolatm=towla=red worm=fastened to the full development of destruction by antagonism with the image of complete emptiness without resting.

Towle’ah=added to the word towla this means to be confined to this experience, and grasping the fullness of it without escape.

Towle’ath=added to the word towla means to the full extent.

Tola’ath=minus one letter from towla means the fullness of everything described without borders of confinement, that everywhere is this defined torment with no reprieve.

Looks quite horrible to me!!!!!!!!!
