The same is true for scents, the effect is often even stronger, and it is closely related to memories, so a smell "from the past" can bring back many more memories than a photograph :)
 
Yea. There's a certain scent that brings back memories of a friend I had in middle school.We were really close, but we didn't go to the same high school and I never saw him again. Last I heard, he was dating another friend of ours.
