The KJV may not do your theology justice, but as I've shown by scripture Messiah the Prince did all those things listed in Daniel 9:27. No need to butcher the wording in the text in order to make your theology fit.
Which that part in 'red' is actually what YOU are doing with wrongly applying it's Jesus that places the abomination idol in Jerusalem, when that was the event He especially warned His that a pseudo-Christ would come and do that.

and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate

The above is speaking about the desolation that will be caused by that abomination being set up in the temple. The desolation is when, after that abomination has been set up by the antichrist, then Israel will flee into the desert to that place prepared for her by God, as revealed in Mt.24:15-22 and Rev.12:6,14.

"Behold, your house is left unto you desolate"

First of all, just because the word "desolate" is used in both verses does not mean that they are exclusive as in referring to the same event. The reference to "your house" was in reference to the "Temple" meaning that the presence of God would no longer be in the temple and has nothing to do with the desolation that will be caused by the abomination being set up, as the desolation of Dan.9:27 is the literal fleeing of Israel out into the wilderness and has nothing to do with the desolation of the temple.

This last seven year period that is prophesied in Daniel 9:27, is the last seven year period of seventy seven year periods that was decreed upon Israel and their holy city, Jerusalem. Sixty-nine of those seven year periods have been fulfilled when the Anointed One was cut off, which was Christ crucified. From that time on God put the last seven year period on Hold and began to build his church, which is still in progress.

Once the church has been completed the Lord will descend and gather the dead and living believers and then he will commence with the fulfillment of that last seven years, also know as "the day of the Lord" when God will fulfill the rest of the decree given to Israel and Jerusalem and will pour out his wrath upon the entire earth, dismantling all human government.

That last seven years is what sets the stage for the end and it is coming quickly and will begin with the opening of the first seal, which is the revealing of that ruler who makes the seven year covenant, the antichrist.

Matt 24:15
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
KJV

Mark 13:14
14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
KJV

The "abomination of desolation" prophecy from the Book of Daniel is about the placing of an idol in temple at Jerusalem in false worship.

Dan.11:31 shows that is what the Dan.9:27 verse is about, i.e., the placing of the abomination idol that causes the temple to be spiritually desolate. Antiochus IV served as the main blueprint for that event to come at the end of this world.

Your teaching is from unbelieving Jews that deny the abomination of desolation being about the placing of an idol in Jerusalem in false worship.
You guys are trying mix and match verses where they do apply. The 70 weeks of Daniel prophecy is a continuous 490 year period with no breaks in between. What you are suggesting is the last 7 years of that prophecy, ( when Messiah was crucified in the middle of that 70th week,) is the same week the destruction of Jerusalem took place, or will take place in the future as you suggest, which is foolishness and also false doctrine.

There is no reason whatsoever to float, suspend, or magically move that final week in which Messiah was crucified to the future somewhere. It is ridiculous!

Here is a chart that shows Daniels 70 weeks. I do not agree with all of what it says, but it shows how the Abomination of Desolation in 70 a.d happened well after Jesus was crucified in the middle of the last 70th week to complete the prophecy.

The persecution is much broader than just Muslims killing Jews and Christians. Did not the unbelieving Jews also kill the early Christians? Your focus is primarily on the Muslims, and what you see is going on with your eyes in the present. But the message is much broader than just that, and the persecution of God's people goes all the way back to when the wicked Cain killed his righteous brother Abel and received a "mark" because of sin.

What the word of God is showing on a global scale is a persecution of the children of the Spirit by the children of the flesh.

That is why it is important to understand what Paul was showing in the 2 mothers (2 Jerusalem's) and their children, which I commented on in my OP.
Galatians 4:29"But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now."

Cain was also of the flesh, Abel was of the Spirit. Just as Ishmael was of the flesh, and Isaac was of the Spirit. Whosoever is born of the flesh is of the earthly Jerusalem (bondwoman) in a spiritual sense. That is the mystery many people miss in the allegory Paul was speaking of in the 2 sons, and 2 Covenants. The first of the flesh, the other of the Spirit. They who are of the bond woman are of the world, being children of the flesh and in bondage to sin.

So whosoever is of the world and of the flesh, these also will persecute the children of God, that is the saints who are born of the Spirit from above, the heavenly Jerusalem, the free woman and mother of the children of promise.
I focus mainly on the Muslims because there is over 30 descriptions given in the bible between the old and new testsments that point to the identity of the beast system and for Babylon.

It clearly gives the locations in bible prophecy, such as Isaiah 21, which for some reason gets constantly overlooked.

Those who place the RCC as this system only go by 13 descriptions, and those who state U.S., it's president, or New York go by even less.

Those who place the whole world ignore half the OT prophecies, and Revelation13:2.

Remember this scripture shows clearly the beast system is a combination of the past empires described in Daniel 7.

Those areas are Muslim populated and/or controlled now.

We can not go and ignore scripture to try and fit what we want.

He sent his soldiers ahead of him and they burned the temple down.

The A.O.D. is the defiling of the temple, not destruction of it.

And that is exactly what you and others are doing by mixing and trying to match certain verses that do not pertain to end times prophecy because they have already been fulfilled. You throw a verse number or chapter up there as some sort of "proof", that somehow makes things "clear" as you put it, but in reality they do not. Let's look at Isaiah 21 which you throw up there as proof that is "clearly given" as proof the beast in Revelation is Muslim countries.

Isaiah 21:11-17[SUP]11 [/SUP]The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
[SUP]12 [/SUP]The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:
[SUP]17 [/SUP]And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the Lord God of Israel hath spoken it."

Did you catch that Ken? Within a year of that prophecy it was to be fulfilled. But that somehow is proof of end times prophecy? LOL You guys crack me up. :)

History written in stone, and the words of Jesus proves you wrong.

The Romans are in triumphal procession wearing laurel crowns and the ones carrying the Menorah have pillows on their shoulders. The soldiers carry signs commemorating the victories which Titus had won. This group of soldiers is just a few of the hundreds in the actual triumphal procession down Rome's Sacred Way. The whole procession is about to enter the carved arch on the right which reveals the quadriga at the top,
Titus on his 4-horsed chariot with soldiers. The Arch of Titus with its Menorah Relief are high on the list of importance in the study of Biblical Archaeology because it stands today as a testimony that the words of Jesus miraculously came true.
* When the temple was plundered by Antiochus Epiphanes, the candlestick was taken away (1 Macc 1:21); after the cleansing, a new one was made by Judas Maccabeus (1 Macc 4:49,50).
* * The 'table' originally provided for the second Temple had been taken away by Antiochus Epiphanes (about 170 BC); but another was supplied by the Maccabees.

The Roman soldiers carrying spoils from Jerusalem, the Menorah and The Table
The arch of Titus still spans the ancient Sacra Via at Rome, at the top of the Velian ridge. Its beautiful proportions make it one of the most interesting monuments of the eternal city. Its noble sculptures, unfortunately, have not been well preserved, but still within the vault can be traced the sevenbranched candlestick, the golden table, and the sorrowful train of Jews, as the captives bear the desecrated relics of the destroyed Temple beneath the cruel eyes of their conquerors. So, after eighteen hundred years, the solemn marble commemorates a tragedy than which calamity was never more complete! [The Story of the Jews]

Close up of the Golden 7-branched menorah carried off by the Roman legions in 70 AD,
Luke 19:41-44 "If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation."
Matthew 23:37-39 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!'"

One must always keep in mind and contemplate the Mother of Harlots and her daughters with the prophesiy of God calling His children out of her so they do not suffer her punishments with her. When meditating upon this, it is paramount to understand that God is calling His children out of all of her daughters also, otherwise the prophesy is not fully understood. We all know what prophesy regards as harlotry in the Word, so it should not be difficult to understand what this all means.

You are forgetting the alignment of Ezekiel 38, and the Luciferians, which are actually the ones behind the global one-world government beast system, and Islam, though not part of Islam itself.

Nah, you're just attending a Church system that has you fooled about those things, teaching you to leave common sense understanding in God's Word.

It's very easy to know the final "one week" of Dan.9:27 is only about the end of this world, simply because of the "abomination of desolation" prophecy Jesus quoted in conjunction with the "great tribulation" He mentioned.

In order for them to fool you into believing the 490 years are continuous, they've gotten you to misinterpret just what that "abomination of desolation" prophecy is about, i.e., the placing of an idol in a standing temple in Jerusalem at the end.

Around 170 B.C., Antiochus Epiphanes took Jerusalem, and went inside the 2nd temple and sacrificed swine upon the altar and spread its broth inside the temple, and then setup an idol to Zeus worship, DESOLATING THE TEMPLE (not destroying it). He fulfilled almost perfectly the events of the Daniel 11 chapter, but not all of it, which means he served as a type, or blueprint for the final idol desolation in the temple in Jerusalem for the end with the coming Antichrist.

Then around 200 years later at Jesus' first coming, He warned about the coming abomination of desolation from the Book of Daniel in conjunction with the events of great tribulation (Matt.24; Mark 13; Luke 21). That definitely meant that Antiochus did not fulfill the Daniel 11 placing of the abomination in the temple, and look for another.

Then in 70 A.D., the Romans destroyed Jerusalem, and the temple burned before Titus could seize control of it, for it was his intention to not destroy it (according to the Jewish historian Josephus). So no abomination idol was placed in the temple in 70 A.D. But that 70 A.D. event is what the false doctrine of Preterism relies upon as having fulfilled Matt.24 & Mark 13, when it did not. It only fulfilled Jesus' prophecy about Jerusalem being flattened in Luke 19 (yet not fully, because the next temple complex is going to be completely destroyed at Jesus' 2nd coming).

In Rev.11, we're shown another standing temple and those who worship in it, and the Gentiles treading the city for 42 months, which is the time of the dragon's reign of Rev.13, and that temple is shown within the 6th trumpet - 2nd woe timing, the time of the tribulation prior to the 7th trumpet when all things of this world will be finished with Jesus' 2nd coming. In Rev.13 we're shown the "another beast" causing the creation of an "image of the beast" to be setup, and command for all to worship it or be killed. That is the pattern of Ezekiel 8.

So it doesn't take a whole lot of thinking to understand from Scripture that the events of Dan.9:27 which goes with the events the "vile person" does of Dan.11, is about the very end of this world, and NOT back at the time of Christ's first coming.

Well, I know for sure it didn't take a lot of thinking on your part because this false doctrine and heresy I've heard all before from other carnally minded men (which is the nature of the scarlet colored Beast) who understand not the Truth, nor receive it, because they have all been deceived. Because of a lack of oil (Holy Spirit guidance) in their lamps they have bought into the lies from the father of lies, and have believed the many false teachers that Jesus prophesied would come into the world and speak by that same lying spirit working in them.

Like I said before, the reason this doctrine is heresy is because it denies the 70th week in Daniels prophecy is already fulfilled. And in denying the last week as being fulfilled, they also knowing, or unknowingly, also deny what happened in that final week, which is Christ crucified in the middle of that final 70th week.

Those who love and make lies, even those who teach lies in the name of the Lord are under the curse, and will not have no place in the Kingdom of God. You have been warned.

Revelation 22:15
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Why do you start at verse 11, for verse 9 shows this is speaking on the destruction of Babylon

Isaiah 21:9
And look, here comes a chariot of men with a pair of horsemen!" Then he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen! And all the carved images of her gods he has broken to the ground."

Kedar, Tema, and the others were never part of the original Babylonian empire, therefore this can not be a fulfilled prophecy else wise those areas in question would have to be part of Babylon. They were not !!!

Even John in Revelation speaks of Babylon being in the desert, that can not be if it is only a world system or if it is the Vatican for the Vatican is not located in a desert.

The within a year is not speaking of when the prophecy would take place, you have read that into the passage, for the within a year is in reference to how long it will take for Kedar to fail.

Within a year --------> Kedar shall fail

You do realize there was an ancient city of Babylon that did fall right? :) Ken, no doubt the language in Revelation is drawn from many different parts of scripture, but don't take the many symbolisms found in Revelation at face value (judge not by appearances) that is why it is shown as a "Mystery". This Mystery can only be revealed to men by God through the mind of the Spirit.

Yes I do but to apply this chapter to the ancient Babylon does not fit, because the areas being mentioned destroyed in this chapter was not destroyed along with Babylon. For they were never part of the Babylonian empire, nor was the city located in Arabia.

Again look at the description of the beast system in Revelation 13:2, it shows it as a combination of all the past empires given in Daniel 7.

Those empires were the Babylonian (Lion), Medio-Persian (Bear), Grecian (lepoard), and the Roman.

It is not described as being just one revised empire, and it is not described as being the whole world. It is clearly stated as being made up of those previous empires combined.

When looking on a map to see the areas those empires encompassed we will see those locations are now mostly to all Muslim populated and controlled areas.

Western culture has done a lot of damage to change understanding in God's word, which is why we now have the interject of the false understanding of placing America and its president as Babylon and antichrist.

Again the question is posed to you: Who is beheading Christians and Jews ???

That chapter does fit concerning ancient Babylon, it was the Medes and Persians who would bring Babylon's fall. Look at the first couple of verses....

Isaiah 2121 The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease."

And I understand the 7 headed Beast is made up of all the previous empires, but like I showed you before when the wrath of God is poured out it is upon all the inhabitants of the earth, and all the nations of the world. That is also what I showed in the earlier post with the dream and image shown to the King of Babylon that was smote by the Rock, and all the previous kingdoms were destroyed with no place left for them. Just as all the kingdoms of the world are to become the Kingdoms of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ when this world falls.

And I'm not disagreeing that Islam is a major part of end time prophecy, but like I said before it is the children of the flesh that were determined to persecute the children of promise. It's no coincidence to me that Ismael was shown as the child of the flesh in Paul's allegory, as Islam believes Ishmael was chosen over Isaac.

But the whole world is going into destruction, determined to be cleansed by fire.

Awhile back I shared some insights into why I thought the 7 headed Beast had bears feet, but let me also share with you why I believe the mouth of the beast is shown as a lions mouth.

Revelation 13:2 “And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”

Psalm 22:13 “They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.”
Psalm 22:21 “Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.”
Psalm 58:6 “Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord.”

2 Timothy 4:17 “Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.”

Job 4:10 “The roaring of the lion, and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions, are broken.”
Proverbs 19:12 “The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass.”
Proverbs 28:15 “As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.”

Isaiah 5:29 “Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.”

Isaiah 31:4 “For thus hath the Lord spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.”

Ezekiel 22:25 “There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.”
