I understand her point in in the song, basically "I am what I am by the grace of God." But Are we really not supposed to be ashamed of where we've been? I know we shouldn't live in shame and defeat and condemnation. But I do believe it is right to be ashamed of the times we did things that were sinful and not glorifying to God.
