I am so so sorry for your loss, Harold!! I can't even begin to imagine the pain you're going through... I'll be praying for you... may the Lord comfort you during these difficult times!!

I have laid this prayer before my God only, months now ago, in 2014. My daddy also has passed away.. My heart empathizes with you my friend. I knew my Dad had surrendered his life wholly to our Lord and Savior, so the inherent pain of loss was superseded with Joy, as I knew of his place of order amongst the heavens. Yet, God granted me a time of rightful Mourning....He grants you this as well.
"O Heavenly Father, Harold is now in the shadow of great loneliness. His helpmate, his friend, his Daddy has been taken from him. Yet, Father he has, by being here, demonstrated he has submitted to your Divine Will. I believe Harold knows that You love his Dad who, we pray, is now in heaven rejoicing with you.
Grant Harold the strength he needs, this coming moment of season, to bear his present need to Mourn the loss of such a great man, and help him to look for opportunities, empowered by his own personal commencement, to seek out those also going thru pain and suffering. Father, help Harold know it is right to season his loss, comfort him and make yourself known to be his refuge, but protect him from Satan's demise. Guard his heart and mind Lord from self- loathing, from the feelings of feeling sorry for himself, but help him walk thru this flame of sorrow with you to come out the other end unmoved from his platform of victory in you.
Father, keep Harold's heart enflamed with love for You, and for his neighbor, so that he can help to carry on the Legacy wrought out through his father's life, and now, even, thru himself, to demonstrate your magnificent glory in living and loving others unto yourself. Father, now, as we take pause for peaceful respect and honor, and healing, let Harold's path gain strength and momentum, and let your love that will author him show that love to reign supreme in others as well. Father, we pray that Harold's Legacy then will be passed down as well, and as a result let him and his Daddy reunite in heaven to Worship you both for all Eternity!"

Oh Harold I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my prayers as you go thru this time. I recently lost my husband and I want you to know that it is ok to feel whatever emotions you feel. Nobody grieves the same. The fog will lift..just take the time to let yourself feel all of it and let the Holy Spirit help you thru it.
Holy Spirit please comfort Harold..give him peace. Please surround him with people who love him, who can comfort him and just be with him to ease his loss. Give him rest God and strength to get thru all that's ahead these days. Amen.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad 2 years ago. Lifting you and your family up in prayer to the Lord.
