What' your not getting Jason is when there is a change of heart and we soak in His Words, and receive the Holy Spirit after accepting Him into our lives, that person won't grow to be hitler, he might've had the mentality to destroy as hitler had prior to coming to Christ. It won't be on the individuals heart anymore, the individual will be at peace because of the love and forgiveness that's in Christ. Then we are shown things, like how we were decieved, the blinders come off.. We are shown about even ourselves and the hate that was inside. We overcome with love. This mirage is removed and the real deal is there, something we can't deny. There's only one unforgivable sin and that's blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
You caught that as well?![]()
Like I said, there's still hope for this one, \Well, nobody's perfect, least of all me, but what I've seen of your posts shows your spirit. And it's good...
Others, not so much.
I think it's evident to anyone that follows "vibrant" discussions on here just who are the ones that are trying to discuss in a civil manner, and who are the ones that only want to jump in and call names and be hateful.
Believe me, I understand getting worked up and ticked off... I have to fight that in myself ALL the time, but my goal is to be civil and respectful, even with the ones with whom I disagree. Believe me, my "natural, sinful man" is more inclined to go absolutely medieval on people that treat me with disrespect, but I "buffet my body daily" to avoid that. (thanks, Paul)
I've learned over the years that life is a learning process, and that I "knew" a WHOLE lot more 20 years ago than I do today.
Not so sure here. But pride goes before a fall. May be what's needed.Oh no. Another l̶i̶a̶r̶ false witness.
Yeah, this is just more smug condescenion, and really insulting, but typical from an elitist. Really smug, pilgrimpasting, really shows your cold-hearted arrogance.![]()

what did you guys "catch" ben. the answer to this question is clear to me. there is one place in scripture you will find the believers confesion that " Jesus is the Christ, the son of God" Jesus then affirms that confession as a blessing, and says the FATHER revealed this to peter. so matthew 16:15-17.
really don't think u guys see whats there. Jesus asks peter who am I? peter confesses you are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus replies " bLessed are you simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man but by nmy father in heaven."
this is the only place in scripture you will find the agreement between a believer, Jesus, and God the father of the identity of Jesus to the church. How am I always way off and always answer you guys like this? very clear to me who Jesus is. and what the approved view of Him is. Jesus said its a blessing and God reveals it to us that Jesus is the Christ and son of the Living God.
I'm done with this question, wont answer it a 5th time. pretty clear tho to me, but......
I would elect Hornetguy an elder in the church he would be good at it, he doesnt push until he has been pushed hard a few times, he is not a coward, acts like a man doesnt throw his weight around and he is a genuine stand up guy.
Who is kind
you did not understand what I said about the spirit. all things come to the believer BY THE WORD. we receive what we HEAR and BELIEVE. how can we hear and receive unless the word is spoken? that is my point with connecting the word and spirit. the spirit is the spirit of Jesus Christ. romans8:9. and again who is the spirit? galatians 4:6 "the spirit of His son".......He is also the spirit of TRUTH as Named by Jesus who is " the way TRUTH and Life." the holy spirit is the spirit of Jesus the Christ of God, Gods son." I am with you even until the end of the age" Jesus the man left earth, But His spirit( the one commited to God at the cross) was sent to Gods throne, and then sent out into all the earth. this is in a few obscure places in scripture.
The point I'm saying about Jesus nature and the spirit is this. it is Jesus spirit, Jesus himself said " he will remind you of everything I have told you" to followers that should connect His spirit and His words in the gospels. His Jesus spirit in us, will not disagree with the gospel. the rest of scripture, does not disagree with the gospel. there is a perfect order to the scripture. many take scripture like this : "well paul said this, james said this. they are opposed. naw, not at all. to see faith read james and paul, take nothing away and add the truth together. scripture doesn't take from other scripture. it adds to it. But the gospel of Jesus Christ rules, Because He is the King there is no other Lord. Therefore His words are those of the King.
so, woithout arguing you, I see an absolute and complete connection between the word, and the spirit. the word is eternal, JESUS words eternal and of the only LORD and king
Jason, do the numbers 0047 mean anything to you?
More smug condesension from an arrogant coward.are you even Christian or just here to agitate? or a kid maybe? son, stay off the web, n for goodness sake, don't eat candy from strangers...![]()
Hmmm ... Though the trinity is indeed one ... they are also three .... there is Father, Son and Holy Spirit
to worship in Spirit and Truth is representative of Spirit (the Holy Spirit) and Truth (the Son/the Word). The Son IS the word ... the Holy Spirit presents the word and teaches the word and gives power to follow and obey the word.
are you even Christian or just here to agitate? or a kid maybe? son, stay off the web, n for goodness sake, don't eat candy from strangers...![]()
I think we as humans have a difficult time wrapping our heads around that, because it's not "like" anything else we have seen.. ever.
I can say I "understand" it, and even sort of believe I do, but then other times the distinctions just don't seem as clear.
When I read the book "The Shack", I saw it in a different, probably better way. I'm sure it's not the perfect description of the interaction and the oneness of God, but it's pretty good.
I'm curious... what significance to they have?
But it can be WHERE the new birth happens.
I was wondering that myself.CAN BE! but you've spent weeks and posts INSISTING that WITHOUT water-baptism there is no salvation. Are you now changing your stance?
I would be careful with fallible writings from fallible men. Roman Catholics love to quote the early church fathers in their efforts to back up baptismal regeneration and other false doctrines as well, which is a red flag for me!Scripture seems to witness this is true, and the earliest church fathers definitely did say that.
