I am glad you were truthful in your answer, but many are not.
You seek perfection? Here's a tip on your attempt to ascertain perfection. I like you, brother, but your attitude sucks. You're all too often condemning others with a sharp, accusatory tongue rather than lifting them up a loving heart. I'm guilty of the same thing, but I embrace the grace, and that's what differentiates us.
What about those who formerly believed, but have renounced the faith, or who have become so hardened through sin that they just don't care about GOD anymore?
It is also the Love and grace of God that brings us to repentance.. Romans 2:4 Without knowing the Love and grace of God there is no such thing as repentance.. Everything everything everything is all because of Grace.. Not hyper grace that says anything goes.. But grace that says.. There my dear children now you can ♡♡♡♡
Amen brother....repent means to change the mind - to stop relying on us depending on our good works and obedience to rules to save us but to turn to God and relying on what Jesus has done for us in His finished work. By grace thorugh faith in Christ alone we are saved.
His life inside of us will keep us and guide us as we work out outwardly the fruit of His life that is already inside of us.

Believe in the gospel of the grace of Christ is the command. He is our life and salvation is only found in Him.
you get a half apology. I can see where someone with a legalistic mindset, who thinks our works control salvation, could take this as lawless grace. so, as grace777x70 said, it is mis-understanding what is being posted. yes, obedience is a fruit, not a cause, or maintainer of salvation.
as my pastor says, get past the everyday asking God are we good? are we good? go out and do the good that God has prepared for you.
I embrace grace, too. That's why I am so adamant against the fake version of it. It's deceiving a lot of people.

Why is this so difficult for many? Saved people are obedient. Obedient all the time? Hardly but obedient by their new nature. We are His workmanship created unto good works in Christ. The degree to which we are saved is not effected by obedience the degree to which we are sanctified however is based on obedience.
A hard line is drawn because salvation is never dependent upon works of obedience but the precious grace of God. That grace produces works of obedience with the caution that they are not always visible to other men but always open to the sight of God.
All that I am and all that I ever will be is through the love of God and His great grace.

I appreciate righteous indignation, but I see you saying we must earn grace, which isn't grace at all. If I'm wrong in my views then I apologize and ask you to clarify things for me.

No. That's between them and GOD. I was just seeking clarity about an issue that I'm starting to forget what it was.
They are one in the same -- non-Christians who've renounced their faith in different ways -- one through words and one through actions.
No, no, no. I'm not saying that at all. Grace, righteousness, salvation can't be earned. However, grace walks hand-in-hand with obedience to GOD's word and spirit, and without obedience (to GOD, not grace) salvation is a myth. Grace is the means whereby we're saved, but it is not the law of GOD. Doing works in faith does not nullify grace.

One of the aspects of grace is that it is an enablement to be who we really are in Christ now. Grace teaches us how to live godly and uprightly in this present world. We need to hear more messages on the grace of Christ so that we can grow up in Him.
Real grace gives freedom "from" sin not "to" sin.
There really is no such term as hyper-grace - that's just as a derogatory term used by some people to disparage the message of Christ and His grace that some people disagree with. Grace teaches how us how we are to live godly.
Just because some people use the term "grace" to excuse their wanting to live in sin is not grace at all. Misuse of the term grace by these types of people should not devalue the awesomeness of the gospel of grace of Christ and all that it means.
Altho...hyper-grace may be a good name for it when we stop and really think about it...lol
