Exactly, God does the work in you... When you become born again, you don't want to live the same as you have always been. You feel ..different, your old friends will come talk about whatever it is you used to talk about, you will feel out of place. Your concerns go from being, what's the new iPhone like..to, God is good, all the time. The Holy Spirit will convict you to what is right.

You will know your just in this world not of it. The flesh and the spirit will be easily discerned for you.

My friend keep studying the cross, it is much more than salvation

In times we live in today, I try not to confuse or argue about what Jesus said. Salvation.. Ones soul is the most important thing to God. There is a war out there for souls daily, I hope your leading in the fight to help Jesus Christ.

The Holy Bible is divinely inspired by Jesus. The basics is this, believe in Him...
Jesus Christ... When the two men that were hung along side Jesus, one mocked him, the other, believed with his life, that Jesus was the Messiah, Jesus told that man, " surely I tell you the truth, you will be with me in paradise". God knows your heart, just believe in Him, be filled with the Holy Spirit and do your best.

You can't reject the Bible and then say you believe in Jesus and think everything is alright spiritually. That would be worshiping your own version of Jesus. The fact that someone does not want to make the Bible their final word of authority tells me that they are worshiping another Jesus that is not described in the Bible. Such a Christ is a false Christ.

who's rejecting it, I see the kjv Holy Bible as Gods word. But to tell people they have to know the bible word for word, or have to be a part of a particular church, baptist, Protestant, 7th day Adventist, their all Gods people if you asked me. If you just believe in Jesus, you will trust His word, the Holy Bible.

here go again. the reference to being born of water means that you must be a human being and not an angel or fallen angel because they were not born of water. Mercy and Grace is only for Human beings and not angels or demons they have no grace.

Why are you thinking like Nicodemus. Jesus already corrected him on that. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. The seed that was sown in a person's heart is the Word of God. Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God that he speaks. Jesus said abide in me and my Word. Jesus sanctifies the church with the washing of the water of the Word (Ephesians 5:25-26). Do you think Ephesians 5:25-26 does not say that Jesus doesn't sanctify the church with the washing of the water of the Word? My Bible sure says that. Remember. Jesus said that his words were spirit and they were life; And Jesus said to the woman at the well that he had living water that he wanted to give to her. These starts at her hearing the Word of God from Jesus and receiving Jesus' words. An adult person does not just get saved without hearing the Word of God.

The Bible is the revelation of Jesus Christ. It reveals Christ from start to end. It is about Jesus!

I don't know what more you could want. As for tradition, it does not reveal Jesus Christ, therefore it is not inspired.

No were in the bible does it talk about stem cell research and if we should use embryos; or what type or if any contraception is ok, or even if a man and women aren't sexually active if it is ok to live together before marriage. So no the bible isn't complete with all the answers of Christian life

The person who opens themselves up to new revelation that would add to God's Word and thereby change it is rejecting the Word of God. When a person adds church tradition, or another book (Like the Book of Mormon), then they are changing the Bible. Also, 2 Timothy 2:15 says that we are to study to show ourselves approved unto God. John 16:13 says that the Spirit will guide us into all truth. The person who has no desire to read the Word of God has no spiritual pulse because they do not desire the things of God and to know more about Him. The Bible is a believer's life line in being fed spiritually. It is not that reading the Bible saves you. No. No. Jesus saves. The point is that if one is truly born again by the fact that they repented of their sins and accepted Jesus Christ for real, then they will naturally believe God's Word and want to read it. They will naturally want to please God in everything they do.

To take a growing life (that will turn into a baby) is wrong.

Read this article here:

What should a Christian's view be on stem cell research?

I don't know but the point is the bible doesn't claim it's the only rule of faith

Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). No Word of God. No faith.

Also, 2 Timothy 3:16 says ALL Scripture is profitable for doctrine, correction, and training in righteousness so......

What can happen?

So you can do back flips with cats jumping thru rings of fire?

No.

So you can drive a car on two wheels in a clown outfit as dolphins sing your name backwards?

No.

So that you (that man of God) will be PERFECT and completely furnished unto ALL good works.

Not some good works. ALL good works.

This is beyond reason in faith. It is obvious you do not have a problem with the Word, you have a problem with faith in God. Also, you have not read all of the Word, otherwise you would not have posted this unsavory post.

Knock and the Door will be opened to you; ask, and you will receive.

I will give a little back ground
i was a humanist/ relativist/ universalist until I was 33
I have a bachelors from an Ivy League college
i own a business that does millions in volume every year
i have read the bible at least 20 times

Now I take jesus as my savor
a) because it is logical and historical
b) because it saved my marriage and my business

what I can't find as logical or historical is the concept of bible as the only rule of faith

1) the last book in the bible wasn't written until 95ad and the bible wasn't bound and distributed until the 300's and even then only very limited until the advent of the printing press
2) the Christians in Goa India went 1500 years without a New Testament
3) the bible disputes it in 1 Tim 3:15, (2 Thess. 2:15) to name just a few
4) no were in the bible does it say what books belong in the bible
5) no were in the bible does it say clearly the bible is all we need
6) jesus didn't write the bible
7) I can't find any of the first Christians supporting it only contradicting it

Great Post! He is just being difficult and think it's funny. All of his questions are answered in the Bible but he lacks faith to believe in it.

What exactly is you impression of the Bible. Do you believe the Bible to be the inspired revelation of the mind of God or do you see it as simply a product of the human mind and human reason?

Certainly a product of the human mind, definately not a product of reason.

I agree with the other answers here. Don't try to overthink it, no offense but sometimes being very well educated can do that. The Bible didn't help and save you, Jesus did. You either believe the entire Bible or it will always be a contradiction to you, which is dangerous ground.

It is obviously not bible alone that determines our faith and understanding. The scripture is crucial today to reveal the gospel to a lost world because the church has sealed up all revelation since the New Testament as uninspired speculation. That 99% of Christendom teaches that the last revelation of God to the world is the New Testament, it is impossible for many to have faith in anything beyond the 27 books as they interpret them, anything that would disagree with their interpretation is consider spurious and not from God.

Jesus never said "read the book" he said keep the commandments and have faith

who give the new testament, to a none christain jew. and who gave the old testament to the romans. (gentiles)

and if you read the bible, then, why did you miss, the new covenant.

Saying a cow can fly can come from a human mind... But there is no reason in that statement

It does not matter whether the reasoning is true or false, it still comes from the human mind. I do not think you understand the connection between human reason and the human mind. Whether the conclusion is true or false, it is still human reason.

At any rate, how do you conclude that the Bible is the product of human reason?
