So sorry to hear of your loss Dude. You are in my thoughts and prayers, I am asking that you would have a real awareness of God's presence and His Love for you. I also want to thank you for sharing the beautiful picture of your wife. Also I think you are doing the right thing reaching out for help at this time. I am so glad your pastor knows of a counselor who can see you and that your also seeing a mental health professional. OCD and anxiety can be very difficult to cope with and I am praying that the mental health professional will help to provide coping strategies.

I wish I could ease your pain.

Maybe this will help... John 5:28-29..
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

So... she is hearing the WHOLE truth... and making sense of so many things in her life... and learning mercy and forgiveness are better things to "do"... than demand justice.

Verse 29 tells us that how we live our lives... lovingly or not... means more than we can imagine.

Yes.. there is grace... but if it doesn't change the things we do... we are lost.

If your wife was loving.. she let Christ in her heart... whether she knew it or not... and by inviting Him.. she can be with Him...

There will be more in heaven than most people here believe.

I hope you find a peace in that.. God bless.

Father, we have a Brother here who is hurting from the loss of someone who he dearly loved. We don't know why some have cancer, why some live longer lives than others, but we know that we can trust You in our darkest hours. Seeing he is in these darkest hours, please shine Your light around him, letting him know You are there with him through this dark time in his life.

In the name of Jesus, amen.

Dude - I am praying for you, thank you for sharing this part of your life with us. - Peter James

I have a lot of unresolved Anger from that relationship. So I feel like I need to find a way to vent before it overwhelms me

Hi Dude...Maybe because your wife has passed over , you have nothing to suppress these feelings anymore and now they are coming to the surface...Don`t let them consume you , it is not wrong to have these feelings , it is how you deal with them that will bring closure...

Because your wife is no longer here to answer your unresolved questions , be careful not to misplace this anger , just give it ALL to God , who`s peace WILL surpass ALL your understanding , God bless you my brother , be still and know that God is with you every second of the way...xox...

I'm no expert in these matters but perhaps you could forgive her and see that the issues were related to her illness. Her judgment could have been adversely effected by the cancer and she really was not fully in control of her end of the relationship.

The Lord is able to resolve this with you. Just trust in His compassion and care. The really hard part sometimes is just forgiving yourself as Christ has forgiven you.

For the cause of Christ

I think god must have his plan for you, the good way.:)

Yes, indeed. God has a plan for all of us even though there may be a mountain that we must climb first so that we can catch of glimpse of His glory and majesty and see what lies ahead more clearly.

Good morning, Dude. Is there some way you could practice turning your anger into acceptance and gratitude? Anger is a considered a stage of grief, and grief has a way of bringing into sharper focus that which we truly value. Perhaps joining a grief group would be beneficial for you?

I'm so sorry... Please accept my condolences.
Praying... May she go to heaven!

I lost my aunt to cancer last year too.
Do you have children? With all my heart hope you do...

Forgive me...

I don't frequently check into this forum so I just now saw this thread. I am so sorry for your loss Dude.

Dude, one thing I learned is this: God was more than big enough to take all the anger I had-I just had to give it to Him.
