Valentine's day is actually named after a saint and was estabilshed in 500 A.D. by Pope Galatius, so it is actually a catholic holy day (holiday). Hmmm I forgot it was catholic like me....I here by re-instate Valentine's Day!!
Yes, Saint Valentine was a roman catholic priest who was arrested when he was caught marrying christian couples during the reign of Claudius II who persecuted christians. He was sentenced to death when he tried to convert the emperor to Christianity and was beaten then beheaded. (source: wikipedia)
