Salvation is first & foremost. Many people are delivered once they are saved. Whether or not this is a mental or spiritual problem, God is able to deliver.
Understand though, if this is a spiritual issue, You will need to pray for your wife & yourself for God's protection.
In spiritual depression, the person can lash out in anger when the spirit is agitated.
If you can get him away from your house, directly pray for him openly & speak to him about his salvation. Watch for sneaky conversation that agees with you but doesn't go anywhere or away from the subject. See if this approach brings on an instant anger reaction to deflect/shut down the conversation. These are only 2 ways of many, but there are spiritual symptoms to look for.
 
When God created everything, He had Adam name all the creatures: of all of the creation tjere wasnt a suitable companion, so God created a companion from the mans own flesh. Now human are hubrostic we are dissatisfied with the companion God created from our own flesh; thinking we can usurp God, we will create our own companion.
 
The Bible says "Love not the world or the things of the world". Amen.
I would also say "Trust not the world or the things of the world".

This thread isnt about food prep and delivery; its about companionship.
The point Gandolf is making, is that a robot maybe good at mudane tasks, it is not a companion. (In a snarky kind of way, which is funny in my opinion).

I was thinking about the robot discussing my tax return and that was why I referenced the accountant.... but anyway :)

it will not be able to compute and malfunction/self destruct.

I sent you a PM about this. @Stephen777 I understand the situation but to me that approach isn't even a valid last resort. There are options like bride purchase (not per se but the concept exists) and a few other things that if he presumably has the money it is worth pursuing at least mentally.

God made women to be helpers and companions for men -- to complement men. So if this person wants to follow God's directive then what he should do immediately is find himself a good, godly wife. Machines are not companions, and they are in fact detrimental to the mental health of people. All these people fiddling with their iPhones today have been taken captive by Satan indirectly. Pastors even want to fiddle with iPhones instead of opening the Bible and preaching the Word of God.

Great points. My first thought was how is an android companion any different to a phone? Sure, an android companion may be unhealthy, but so too are the phones people waste their lives in these days. At least an android companion can probably cook a good dinner.

My second thought was that the natural (real) world is so perverted (deliberately so), that perhaps he's better off with an artificial companion that sticks to its programming. But your answer of seeking a Godly wife is the one that addresses this with a faithful attitude.

Where does one purchase a companion android. At Amazon, Ebay? See nothing wrong about the concept of companion androids. Perhaps a dog or a puddy cat?

A lot of relationships are artificial as well as superficial so maybe an android companion would be a more realistic and ideal experience in some regards. If the android relationship starts to get stale you could always go for the latest upgrade or hit delete.
