Italy isn’t waiting on Spain to fix it. Prime Minister 𝐆𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐢 says Rome is ready to take “extraordinary measures,” including suspending the Schengen free-travel zone with Spain, and her own foreign minister, 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐓𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐢, has publicly called for it. Spain has already summoned Italy’s ambassador in response.
