He has opened the entire Epstein archive to every member of Congress, unredacted and unrestricted, and put the invitation on the record. Blanche said the Department of Justice reviewed six million pieces of paper, released everything it holds, and is sitting on not a single document. Any congressman or congresswoman can walk in, sit down, and read the files for as long as they want. No black bars. No handlers. No time limits. If lawmakers believe more should be made public, Blanche said, they only have to say the word.
This is the transparency test the political class spent years claiming it wanted. Under President Trump, the Justice Department is no longer treating the Epstein records as a club to be swung at opponents and then locked away when the names get inconvenient. The files are open. The offer is public. The excuse that “the truth is still hidden” no longer survives contact with the reading room. For the victims who were told the system would never fully look, and for the voters who watched powerful people skate while clerks redacted the interesting pages, the move is simple and brutal: look, or admit you do not want to.
