I am a seventh day adventist but i love every other christian regardless of denomination.I am a caribbean guy from the island of barbados.
The only thing i hate is that i havent dated anyone since high school and i am really scared i wont find someone to settle with.
ANy advice would be appreciated.
i am tempted to date a non christian but i want to hear from you guys, should i hang in there and wait for someone who is a christian to settle with.i will be heading of to college this year to learn nursing .the college does have a christian group that meets weekly.should i hold the faith in GOD that someone will come along that is a christian or should i take the risk with a non believer.

Welcome to CC. :) This topic is better suited for the Family forum, where it will more answers and better coverage.

The answer to your question is simple: hang in and wait for God. :)

Welcome to CC, and so glad you found us. Remember the scripture 'Do not b unequally yoked with unbelievers' 2 Cor 6:14. You would have to b on a lower level of understanding to deal w/a non-believer. God bless!

My wife is an SDA also and I have attended many Sabbath day morning services with her. As far as dating is concerned the only counsel I can offer is to not waste time dating a woman that you would not consider marrying. I would be leery of dating a non-Christian woman but then I have met non-Christians that act more Christian than a lot of other Christians I have met. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

Greetings SHANECOY and Welcome!

Regarding finding the woman that God has for you, the one ask to give you a drink and offers to water your camels too, would be the one I would go with :). But seriously, regarding dating a non-Christian woman, you would be unevenly yoked. Your concerns and meditation would be for the Lord and the things of heaven, while hers would be on the things of this world, ergo, unevenly yoked.

Scripture does say that for those who become believers while they are married and has an unbelieving husband or wife and which desire to remain married to the believer, then they should not seek a divorce. However, if the unbelieving person wants to leave, then the believing brother or sister is not bound in such cases. Regarding those unbelievers who want to remain married to the believer, the scripture then goes on to say "How do you know, oh wife, whether you will not save your husband? Or how do you know, oh husband, whether you will not save your wife?

If you'd like to read up on the details of marriage, 1 Cor.1:7 goes over this.

i FORGOT TO MENTION THAT I AM IN MY LATE TWENTIES HENCE WHY I AM PANICKING.

I’m turning 31 in March so I empathize with how you are feeling. When thoughts come that are distracting, fear-mongering and draw your attention from God, that means it’s time to use your given authority, bro. They must bow to Jesus; we suffer increasingly with what we entertain. Is comparison nagging at you? Deactivate social media. I did that slightly over a week ago and my mindset is improving.

Trusting Him is a choice so let’s make it every morning with our waking breath!

Welcome to CC and best of luck with your future plans. I'm a NICU nurse. Welcome also to the field of nursing. I'm a new convert to Catholicism. Like you I'm respectful of others. I strongly advise you to not be so anxious for a relationship. Wait for the girl who has her eyes on Christ

Hi! Welcome to CC. As far as advice, seek God with all your heart and soul and give it to Him. Enjoy life as you worship Him. The right woman will see that and be the right fit for you. Of course God gave us free will to make choices, but I HIGHLY recommend to date someone who is equally yoked. That is in the Bible and God will bless your relationship if you follow His word.
