I made my account last night, and I just want to say how glad I am that I did!

Hope I'm part of the CC community for a long time to come!

Hi Elizabeth, I'm new too. Just joined tonight. What made you want to join CC?

Hi Elizabeth, I'm new too. Just joined tonight. What made you want to join CC?

Hello you guys! Welcome to CC! Hoping this place becomes a blessing to you too as it has been to mine for many years lel. Of course it has its ups and downs and people grow, sometimes for the worse or the better. But it's a journey one can look back to. :) Happy fellowship-ing! God bless!

One of us. One of us. :D

Welcome elizabeth (and to you too, Matthew)!

Thanks Abigail. I checked out your profile and blog and am really inspired by your devotion to Jesus. I'm searching for that passion now..reading the Bible every night and praying (think I need to pray more...). It's like the story I just read in Matthew 13. The seed of the message of the kingdom for me was sown among thorns which seem to continue to choke it out with worries and general life issues. I need a seed sown in good soil built on hearing the word and understanding it... God bless everyone who knows Jesus. The more I read, understand and pray I realize how lucky we are.

Hi Elizabeth, I'm new too. Just joined tonight. What made you want to join CC?

For a couple years I've had a cruddy relationship with God. I've recently felt a conviction to have a better relationship. I needed some advice from some Christian folks and I found this!

Welcome Elizabeth, and Matthew, once again....smile.I love your prophetic statement of being apart of this for some time, I love that for it is so faithful. And it reinstates my faith by hearing it...see how we are all connected in our single-minded Spiritual life? It reminds me that Revival is the church or body of believers, even where two or more are gathered where He is also, that falls in love with Jesus Christ all over again. You guys let Jesus use you, and ignite us all, and let those who have gifts to equip you to forge your Character to Him even more to demonstrate His love to the body. I love this stuff! I love Jesus Christ! Amen?!! Welcome to the relationship to the Lord Jesus Christ in action!

Me too. Cruddy is an understatement for me. Non-existent would be more appropriate. But now, (like you) I need him more than ever. Man, to hear Slave say those things are straight from the Holy Spirit.

When my mom died, I was far from Jesus...She was a follower of Christ. I sat by her bedside as she went to spend eternity with her holy father. I opened the Bible and read her the first page I opened while she passed away. Literally, I was reading and writing a message that I would read during her funeral. She was very sick and in Hospice. And you know the first passage I read, John 14:1. About Jesus preparing a place in heaven for his followers...

I wrote a three page message to my family about my mom and her love of Jesus, our life together, everything. And to think I wrote this?? Nahhh....I know the holy spirit wrote this as people came up to me afterwards and said I was better than the preacher! I need Jesus now more than ever and that is why I'm here. I'm thankful for Slave. He struck a chord with me and bumped up my faith another notch.

Seems every passage I read, every NT reference I check online, every song I hear, my faith grows. I pray my faith is strong enough for the Holy Spirit to enter my life. This is my only fear, that I will not have the faith; so I will prove to myself through prayer & reading the Bible to help my faith grow... Please pray for me! In Jesus name we pray.

Hey Elizabeth! Welcome. Glad you joined and hope you're a part of the community here for a long time to come as well :)

Well, to all who responded to my introduction tonight, I must bid you all farewell until tomorrow. I will keep everyone updated with any new stories I'm reading in the NT that seem to speak to my life and maybe yours too. If anyone has any other stories from their side, please let me know. Special thanks to Abigail, Slave, Siberian and everyone who chimed up when I needed to hear from real Christians. In Jesus name we receive these blessings. Good night. Smile. (I got that from Dan).;)

My friend God is indeed loving you right now! He is not improving you to be more faithful, He is waiting to have you to surrender individualism and let Him fill you with faith in a forged steel-like character. Fear not, for it is He who will finish His work in you, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." You are not needing to walk right yet, but simply sit! Sit in things already accomplished in Christ, He will lead you from there...trust Him wholly. Behind closed doors pray and surrender to Him and He will have you walk from victory and not for it. God bless you Matthew. My prayers are now alongside you as well...be patient with yourself and immediate with God thru Jesus Christ. I look forward to hearing you in the other threads of vast options in study! Thanks for your introduction so far....

Amen! And amen to Dan too (slave). :)

You're right again. I need to surrender individualism. So, I will indeed surrender my self to Jesus every day until he fills me with faith and "puts my soul at peace and rest". I keep thinking of Matt: 11:25-30 and how it says he can put your soul at peace. I like that one a lot! I will trust him wholly as Jesus tells us to. Thank you Dan. I'll keep you updated on what I'm reading. Up next, prayer and reading of Matt: 19-20s starting with the story of the Rich Man. My name by the way is actually Mark. I didn't know any chapters in mark to reference so I used Matthew13 as my nickname. talk to you soon Dan.

We also can talk in PM but remember too, "Trust in the Lord, now with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6. Take note of that passage what your role is and what Gods promise is His role.

Remember too, as you live in the New You or regenerated you your identity is no longer the old at all. You are yourself the Christ-like child You are indeed a Christian. Be not ashamed of your God, for He will have your back. And your loyalty is to Him now thru Jesus Christ. If you remain in this identity of yourself you will always be on the winning side, regardless of your experience in circumstances. walk thru all the flames with God and He will have you come out victorious. He will hon you, sculpt you as His clay, but always He will have your best interest in mind. He is not a God of love His is the honor of being love itself. Never go for His love for in Him love is authored in detail accustomed to you and your life in real time. Walk with God putting on the Armor of God. and let 1 Corinthians take ahold of your understanding: "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you will be able to endure it. Temptation is not sin....but it is a fight, a real fight. But remember it is not for victory but standing on the ground Jesus has gained victory over and has handed His authority to you to rule over, by way of Himself found in you -as you! Cling to the rock of your victory which is Christ Jesus always.

I thought about what you said last night about surrendering my individualism and did so last night.

I surrendered aloud and put my whole being at his feet. i asked for him to give me rest & peace. I asked for a sign and just then heard the whistle of a far off train. So much is happening. I asked for him to help me rise early and take care of my children before school.

At 5:37 AM I was awoken by a loud crash and was completely and instantly awake. only 23 minutes before my alarm was set to go off. I thought it was just a bar of soap falling off the shower shelf onto the floor, it was a toy of my son's falling from the suction cups coming apart. but perhaps it was Jesus waking me..."??

Oh well, just wanted to share a neat story with you. Thanks for the encouraging words. Now I'm reading The Hungry Inherit by Zane Hodges too. Good night.

Thank you for sharing it! Perhaps it was Jesus waking you. That looks like an interesting book. I'm just about to start a series, myself, though it's not a book, cause I hate reading :/. Oh but there is a book version of it, it's called the 30 life principles by Charles Stanley.
