Blessings everyone, thank you so much for the warm welcome, please keep me and my brother in your prayers, we will be flying tomorrow from Albany NY back home. We are living in perilous times and our only safety lies in being as close as possible to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praying for you all as well. " Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man (or woman) availeth much". James 5; 16

My prayers are also with you and your brother. For this trip and that you both know Jesus (since i don't know about your brother), and that his peace goes with you both tomorrow and everyday there after as well in he whom Loves us all whom he has called us to his Blessed side.

Hi Beth, welcome to the site. I will be praying for you and your brother. I really like the passage you quoted; so many times we are told that prayer does not do much, as God has already determined everything...and yet, we see passages like how Daniel fasted and prayed for 21 days, and only after 21 days, was visited by Gabriel (Dan 10). Indeed, prayer is so powerful; we have a role to play in what God accomplishes here on this earth. Jn 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Thanks nate..thank you for your prayers, we made it safe praise God, you are right there is power in prayer, but I believe Jesus said; "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you", then you can ask anything, there are prayers that are answered instantly cause they are according to God's will, there are others that are based on conditions. But regardless, God always hear our prayers, He might say yes, wait a little, or no, simply cause in His all wisdom, He knows what is best for us, and His timing is always perfect. Also, like Daniel we need to persevere in prayer and not give up, cause the enemy is always trying to steal our blessings....thank you so much, may God bless you always....

Thank you so much for your prayers, we made it safely praise God. I know Jesus very well and my brother has a developmental disability, but he also knows Jesus to the best of his ability. Thanks again and may you have a blessed day....
