New persons confusion.

Hello, I've been confused on a few issues for a while. They are probably common.
1) god is not gods name? So saying it is blasphemous or not?
2) god as far as I know says nothing about when being human, we receive gods gifts, all. Not defined as alive or afterlife receiving?
3)what is the most common understanding to be a Christian if Christ forgives all? Sin no more to a woman he healed he said, but he was alive so wasn't she under the old testament still?

It is not blasphemous to use God as His name. Christ will indeed forgive you if you confess your sins with a contrite heart. Invite Him into your heart, pray for God to turn your life around and start living for Him instead of yourself. Ask Him to give you the strength and courage to follow Him where he leads you. It is not blasphemous to say god, but most Christians do prefer you write God (capital G), to indicate He is THE God and not just some random god. God isn't a name, but a title / description. When Moses asked his name, he said something like "I am that I am", say that I am has sent you", so that's the closest we get to a name.

I do not understand question 2 and 3

All our sins are forgiven at the cross if we accept the sacrifice of Christ.
... but just because we are forgiven it doesn't mean we should keep sinning. (if you get "burned" by nettles you don't keep on walking into them, you look for a way around them, or you chop them down)

God is what God is.. Because there is only one God you cannot blaspheme Him by calling Him God as long as you believe there is only one God.. God has acceptable titles.. like::
I AM
God of Abraham
YAVEH
Al Mighty
The Ancient of Days
and more..

But yes in truth God does not have a ""name"" We humans need names to distinguish us from other humans.. Since God is the only God of all existence we do not need a Name to distinguish Him from other gods who do not exist anyway..

We receive the entirety of Gods gifts after the resurrection as we enter into eternity with Him.. We can also receive limited gifts while we live in this life.. Like peace of mind or Gods intervention in our needs or gifts like special talents.. But the main gift is eternal life with God in His perfect existence.. A awesome gift indeed..
