I was at the store the other morning, (one of those rare times alone) and had noticed all around me all the catchy items geared to children. You know the stuff......
candies and cereals, and drinks all covered and marketed with famous cartoon characters all over them.
I am familiar with many of them partly b/c hey, I'm a mom. And partly b/c I see them around EVERYWHERE.
We don't watch a lot of tv, and there are many shows/ characters that we don't allow our children to watch. So there are some that I don't really KNOW, I just KNOW OF ........ AND THAT'S WHEN IT HIT ME:
How many times have you met someone (or maybe you yourself....) that knows OF Jesus, but doesn't actually KNOW Him
I mean yeah, maybe been to church a few times in life, and have seen/heard preachers on tv/radio.
Have heard about how Jesus was born (i.e Christmas)
so yeah, know of Him.
But there is a difference between knowing who someone is, and actually KNOWING them........
Anyway, just food for thought.
