Not a single verse in the Bible teaches the damnable heresy of John Calvin’s TULIP. You can give me all the verses, but not a single one will teach or imply it.
Tulip truth is from Genesis to Revelation, they stand for the Gospel of God's Grace

It makes no sense. They really don’t know how stupid it sounds in the bigger picture. When you seek TRUTH and know TRUTH…. then false doctrine sticks out like a sore thumb. It is ridiculous to think that God would make a creature in his image that was not able to respond to him. It is literally a doctrine that turns people into robots…. And it would make the love that one would give God not genuine.
People who lack understanding often claim that which they do not understand is "stupid."

Like atheists. People have volition and act out of their nature. Pelagian heretics deny this.

Oh well. Maybe just chill. Have some apple pie with vanilla ice cream.

Yes but that spirit Adam used to commune with God was innate. He was spiritually alive, we are born dead, spiritually. God must act as our spirit until such time as we are born again.

I do not agree with this. I knew my spirit was alive before I came into the knowledge of the truth by the grace of God who was leading me to him.

You were receiving and understanding Spiritual things the Bible says the natural man cannot.

That means you were already regenerated. A spiritual man. Called out of the world.

Made alive in Christ.

Paul said the natural man doesn't understand the gospel. Natural man can hear the spirit and be drawn to it; that truth is made very clear in scripture. But he can't understand what he is hearing until God opens his eyes to the truth of the gospel. That is the distinction.

I knew my spirit was dead because the bible said I was dead in my sin and I wasn't physically dead (body) nor was I intellectually or emotionally dead (soul) so that only left one thing in me that could be dead. :)

I never touched a bible, so my mind wasn't prejudiced with what it said. I knew very much my spirit was alive before I learned the truth of the gospel.

You limit what Paul says, because the natural man does not receive or understand the spiritual things of God
and that includes the gospel, which is heard as foolishness. The natural man is opposed to the spiritual things
of God, hostile in his mind toward God, a slave to sin, lover of darkness, and hates the light. Why do you rewrite
Scripture? Oh, I know. It is so you can adhere to your opinion over what Scripture explicitly articulates.

1Corinthians2-14.png

The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians ch 2 v 14

Wow! You think one can be prejudiced by the word of truth? Wow!

Well, I believed what the Bible said. My opinion is you recognised the work of your soul, not your spirit and you are confusing the two.

And so you know, I didn't find a Bible until I was around 12yo but knew the Lord almost from birth. I just didn't know who He was, but I knew what He was and I loved everything I saw about Him.

Most of the Bible, when I did start reading, was like a foreign language but there was about 5% clear as crystal all of which pertained to my need of salvation and where that salvation lie. When I became born again, the Bible took on a whole new dimension. It came alive in a way I never knew before.

I maintain I was spiritually dead and needed to be born spiritually of God's Spirit. You disagree, fair enough.

I see no point in continuing the discussion.

grace and peace. :)

He is also the father of all the Arabs through Ishmael. He was promised Ishmael would be the father of twelve princes.

Genesis 17:20
And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation.

Why do you keep denying that Abraham is the father of many nations, not just Israel?

If Scripture states this, I’m not denying it! .
And yes, IK about Ishmael. However, I was talking about Israel specifically. :)

Another logical fallacy. Plus, the Bible does not say one must touch a Bible to be prejudiced against it.

The natural man is inherently opposed to the spiritual things of God, toward Whom he is hostile.

I noticed a recurring question which my current studies kept leading me to.
Scripture tells us that this corruptible must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on immortality (1Cor 15:53) and 1 Peter 1:23 speaks of being born again of incorruptible seed through the living and enduring word of God. Was Adam created incorruptible or immortal? I assume that it is just as necessary for him put on immortality to enter the kingdom so, it'd seem to me that death is a necessary... conduit? to the resurrection to eternal life?

With hindsight that he was permitted to eat of any tree which I assume includes the tree of life as the only exception explicitly forbidden being the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, I lean toward the opinion that Adam wasn't created corrupt but not incorruptible, especially considering that the way to the tree of life was cut off for him after the fall into corruption. So, I don't think it's unreasonable to think that he was given the choice between life and death where there were many ways to life but only one way would lead to death and, because he chose that one way, we now have many choices that lead to death and only one way that leads to life, but that we are no less 'freed' from choice.

Seeing as there is a generation who will not taste death (as well as Enoch and Elijah who most likely did not die), I'm going to say death is not necessary to life.

1 Corinthians 15:51
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—

It was my supposition that it had at least become necessary considering that Christ died for the sins of the world so that we might have life.

If God never walked back into the garden looking for Adam and Eve, if He never had mercy on Noah and family and kept them safe through the flood, if He never recused Israel from Egypt or sent His Son to die in our place ... what would happen to humanity?

Man cannot save Himself. Just about every page in the Bible makes that clear. He is born dead in sin, without any spiritual life and cut off from God. He is in a hopeless position and if it were not for the grace of God he would perish eternally.

God destroyed 7 nations alone in the land of Canaan as well as other cities around the world, because of sin and wickedness.

-““When the Lord your God brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you, and when the Lord your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them. “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples;”

Fair enough but my original post was in relation to the question of Abraham being a Gentile, so not Israel specific. :)

Isn’t it true, if Israel didn’t exist the Gentiles didn’t exist, either? The man Jacob (Israel) was further down the time line; hence my statement to your post.

Gentile just indicates non-Jew.
