President Obama just signed an executive order titled 'Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Communications Functions' to take down all U.S. communications upon his request.

Despite it being in diametric opposition to the principles of good communications, the principles of good organizational communications, and the principles of emergency preparedness, Obama can black out all news and all communications in the USA upon his request in the event of an "emergency."

That means you won't be able to contact your loved ones, call for help, check the news, nothing. Total federally enforced blackout. There will be no phones, no cell, no Internet/email/chat, etc...

This executive order has the potential to cost American lives and violates the first amendment of the Constitution of the United States in my view.

Buy a Ham radio and learn how to use it so if your family gets jammed up when Obama decides to hit the off switch in the event of an emergency, you can access the amateur radio operators emergency groups which still exist to get medical help, etc...

Over 2000 years ago the Romans tried to squash the gospel. The result? It went out anyway. Maybe even faster and farther for all their efforts to silence it.
 
it has to do with FEMA
They operate kinda under the radar since they dont want a lot of attn brought to themselves and even allow other agencies to take the "credit" (blame)

  • EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001 allows the government to take over all health, education and welfare functions.
  • EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002 designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.
  • EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003 allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.
  • EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations. (some properties are zoned X for this purpose)
  • EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005 allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities.
  • EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051 specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.
  • EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310 grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.
  • EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049 assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period.
  • EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921 allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months

Under emergency plans already in existence, the power exists to suspend the Constitution and turn over the reigns of government to FEMA and appointing military commanders to run state and local governments. FEMA then would have the right to order the detention of anyone whom there is reasonable ground to believe...(persecution with no crime commited) will engage in, or probably conspire with others to engage in acts of espionage or sabotage.
The plan also authorized the establishment of concentration camps for detaining the accused, but no trial.

Honestly I am not surprised, does anyone know of harvest army? about a month or two ago they predicted that there was going to be a period where all internet,phone lines and all communication would be cut off and to in that time stay close to your family and read the bible even more so than usual. I have seen many of their predictions come true already I just didn't expect this one to come true so soon.

And before anyone starts saying beware of false prophets unless you have seen them and and seen there predictions come true you cannot say that until you have watched their predictions. they don't make them every day only occasionally mostly they preach the gospel and bring people up to date on the world events

When President Bush signed the Patriot act after 9/11 I spoke out against it and when the Patriot Act was renewed under President Obama I did so again. I don't care of what party or color a President is when it comes to the unconstitutional expansion of governmental authority in order for it to farther encroach on it's citizen's rights, freedoms, and privacy.

All but one of Executive Orders that Midnight Welder posted were put in place by John Kennedy. The last one was by Gerald Ford.
 
Why does Obama and Holder need our passwords?

"The U.S. government has demanded that major Internet companies divulge users' stored passwords, according to two industry sources familiar with these orders, which represent an escalation in surveillance techniques that has not previously been disclosed.

If the government is able to determine a person's password, which is typically stored in encrypted form, the credential could be used to log in to an account to peruse confidential correspondence or even impersonate the user. Obtaining it also would aid in deciphering encrypted devices in situations where passwords are reused.

"I've certainly seen them ask for passwords," said one Internet industry source who spoke on condition of anonymity. "We push back."

A second person who has worked at a large Silicon Valley company confirmed that it received legal requests from the federal government for stored passwords. Companies "really heavily scrutinize" these requests, the person said. "There's a lot of 'over my dead body.'"

Some of the government orders demand not only a user's password but also the encryption algorithm and the so-called salt, according to a person familiar with the requests. A salt is a random string of letters or numbers used to make it more difficult to reverse the encryption process and determine the original password. Other orders demand the secret question codes often associated with user accounts."
